God of War - Sony made it again

The God of War is one of those games that when you sit down to play, you just can't let it until you have spent about two or three hours of continous play.

The combat system is perfect, the graphics and the backgrounds are amazing. The history impacts you the way that you have many questions that based on your progress are automatically answered.

This game is not suitable for children cause all the violence and creatures that are shown on it. If you plan to play, wait for your children to sleep.

Best of all, you can see the behind the scenes of the making of the game when you end it with normal or hard mode. When you see it, you will be like me and all that have played, amazed by all the work, and concept that it has inside.

The Masterpiece

God of War is considered the best action game for the PlayStation 2 and for this reason this one can not be missed. The game tells the story of Kratos, a spartan warrior that's about to suicide. The player goes back at his past and see his last doings to understand the reason for that act.

The game CGs are impressive. Special filters, transitions between draws and animated characters gives a unique touch to them. The blood effects and the way it comes out from the wounded shows a real bloodshed and these are to tell the game was made for adults.

The game visual is astonishing, with wonderfully modeled scenarios and well animated characters. The reproduction of Greece is a conceptual art made to expand the player's imagination and not to reproduce it with veracity. The game collects the tales of the Greek Mithology and works it out of the conventional without hiting its beauty.

The most attracting element of the game is Kratos's twin blades which he uses at the end of a chain that was fixed at his arms by the hands of Ares, the god of war. The game has some kind of a button mashing gameplay, but it works so perfectly and Krato's attacks are so innovative and easy to deliver that the game is a sure diversion.

God of War is one of those games that is unique not only for the game itself but for the complete work. It's a big production with the look of a big production, and everyone can see, at the whole work and at the details, that the creators of the game have made it with love for the players to love it. God Of War released in 2005 was a very intresting and addicting game filled with violence and action however I do believe it keeps audience entertained and wanting more.A story unwraps as you defeat the creatures in this fantasy game.With only one player you jorney to 8 unreal places you will be satisfied.Kratos voice by TC Carson the main charecter a ex-spartan warrior you will be controling has set out to destroy Ares voice by Steve Blum the god of war.Armed with lethal double chainblades you have the power of decideing Kratos every move,futher in the game you(kratos) will have a choice of weapons and how to use them be careful what blade or magic you use.Based on greek myths these creatures Hydra,Medusa,Cyclopes and more will lead you one step closer to pleasing the gods.I recommend this game to both female or male and only mature audiences.A very magical game could be yours,what are you waiting for?Live or die,suceed or fail i highly recommend this game.A great gift too!for ps2.Unleash your power.Lire l'avis complet...

2005 Game of the Year???

Pros
+ One of the best looking games that will ever hit the PS2.
+ Deep story with gorgeous cutscenes & a huge mythology.
+ Variety of levels that feel like they have been ripped from the pages of history.
+ Brutal main character who you will never forget.
+ Huge boss battles & a real sense of satisfaction in giving a beating to your enemies.

Cons
- Novices should be able to handle the easiest mode but any other mode is for the hardcore gamers only.
- A little on the short side but you will probably want to play it over again anyway.
- Lots of button mashing.

I can't say enough good things about this game. This is one of the most original games to be released and will hopefully blossom into a powerful franchise in the future. Forget 'Onimusha' or 'Devil May Cry'. This game own your action/adventure seeking soul.

Best Game Ever!!!

Many gamers try to find that perfect action adventure game , that has fun gameplay , detailed and rich graphics and last but not least the interesting story.God of War has all of these traits and more to be discovered.

If you want to play a good solid game with the fun button-mashing gameplay this is the perfect game,not only are the controls easy to learn and use but when used it gives you fun and flexeble gameplay unlike any other game.

The graphics in this gem of a game are detailed rich and makes the game feel very realistic and gives you a better environment to play in.

Although i wouldnt give you spoilers i will tell you this ,the story of this game would please any historical gaimer ,as it delves deep into greek myth , this by itself motivates you to be a better player and im not joking.

The Definition of an ACTION GAME

I played this game for a week straight eventuallty beating it 3 times so i could complete it on the GOD MODE difficulty.

This game screams "PLAY ME YOU S.O.B. BEFORE I RIP YOUR HEAD OFF AND STUFF MY HAND DOWN YOUR THROAT AND RIP OUT YOUR SPLEEN!"

Witha story line that seems penned by a hollywood screen writer, the story unfolds as Kratos sets on his quest to kill Ares, the God of war and the player learns the true nature of who Krat9s really is. The storline weaves in oand out and information is giving to the player in probably the greatest executible way I have ever seen. The story just flows: PERIOD!!

From the first battle with the Hydra to the final confrontation with Ares, God of War makes you want more....and more...and more!!!!!Lire l'avis complet...

God Of War Review

Like all games now and days, God Of War has appealing graphics. If you look close enough, you'll notice that the graphics are about three times the quality of PS1, which was a 32 bit system and PS2 is a 128 bit system. PS2's graphic card power brings out the real time lighting well in this game, not to mention a good fps rate. As for the thrill of the game, God Of War is one of the better action titles PS2 has seen in a while. If you're tired of all the games out there that are just graphics only, then give this title a shot. It will entertain you as well........not just eye candy.
