excellent camera for outdoor use
I bought this camera to record video and take video's while riding on the motorbike, water-sports (diving and sailing)
Pro's: good HD quality, small, light, comes with waterproof casing up to 60 meters deep for diving, easy menu, all connections necessary for whatever use, different quality settings for taking photo's or recording video, all the accessories that you get and that you can get.
Con's: short battery life, small buttons (bit of a pain when you use the waterproof casing.
Overall: wicked camera! great for outdoor use!!! highly recommended for those who are very active!
Suggestions: bigger and better pressing buttons and if possible a LCD screen already attached to the camera and a battery that lasts a bit longer, especially for video if possible.Lire l'avis complet...

As you have seen from hundreds of "ThatWebsites" Hero2 videos, by now you know the quality of both the picture and sound. There are many more video and camera options than anticipated so this is a nice value to a compact camera. This model I purchased was a used version and included both the "Wi-Fi BackPack and Remote", both which I would highly recommend as you can add an app to your phone developed by GoPro to wirelessly connect to your camera and control what seems to be 100% of the settings. This is also a great bonus because now you have in your hand a personal monitor to make sure the camera is "centered" to your preference. The video downloads and erases a little slowly, but it's nothing to even worry about, but just wanted to mention, as I know some "of us" can be critical. The battery on both the Wi-Fi unit and Hero2 is comparable and "reasonable" when you use and fill a 32G memory card. The GoPro Hero2 is an excellent value for the money. The pros are that the rolling shutter and moire have been greatly reduced from the original. The cons are that the camera does not have any type of mount attached to it and must be put inside the plastic case to mount it to anything. Once in the case, you can't access the ports on the sides of the camera. The Hero2 also does not have any display as delivered. You can purchase the LCD Backpack, but it is not included. The packaged mounts are very useful and the suction cup unit is very sturdy and stayed in place at speeds in excess of 100 miles per hour. Although the Hero2 won't replace a proper high definition studio camera, you can't beat the price. For the cost of one studio HD camera, you could buy several Hero2s and have money left over. I recommend the Hero2 to anyone that is looking for a good, cheap, HD camera with multiple mounting options and huge after sale support.Lire l'avis complet...
Class leading video and audio - much better than 'HD Hero'
We purchased this product mviewz, a review website for motocross products. The helmet camera market is rapidly expanding so we're reviewing the top cameras.
GoPro has the best video and audio quality. Although cameras perform on-board processing for the video you see, we have found the gopro's end result to have the 'nicest' look. The audio is without question the best out of the 'big 3' self contained units.
The included mounts (motorsport kit) are awesome and allow excellent flexibility with filming options. The unit does require a case for use, however that case makes it bomb proof. During testing ours was smashed, bashed and trashed without any problems.
Just about any downside can be rectified with add-ons - LCD screen, remote, battery backpac... Having said that, we like the 'Drift HD' a little more for its out of the box flexibility, in that it included an on-board screen and remote.
For the price difference we would without a doubt purchase this over the 'HD Hero'. Just be aware you will need a new and powerful computer to watch and edit the videos it puts out!

Awesome Camera I'm blown away
I'm getting started in "First Person View" model aircraft flying and bought this camera to mount on my aircraft, so far I have mounted it on a quad copter and have taken stills and video.
This camera is awesome the picture quality just blew me away, once you have read through the instructions it is fairly easy to use the menus via the tiny LCD screen. The range of functions are great, the range of mounting hardware has allowed me to mount the camera easily on my aircraft. The bundled software seems reasonable for editing video, again you need to read through the instructions (its a bloke thing we hate reading instructions) as I found myself getting frustrated that I couldn't get the program to do what I wanted but I was missing one step in the process.
I would like a larger screen to view and use the menus but as I mentioned it does the job.
I don't have anything to compare against this camera but I think you would be hard pressed to find a better camera for the price.Lire l'avis complet...
GoPro, little camera with big results! most versitile action cam made!.
I bought the GoPro camera for use on my motorcycle, I go for long rides and wanted to record the places I visit. this camera was just what I needed, Half the fun is thinking up new ways to mount the cam for various views and effects. Adjusting the settings was difficult at first but after using a few times it gets much easier. The picture and video quality are excellent! Another plus was that I could post the video's on the net and that allows relatives in Germany to see this great country in a different perspective, they enjoy them very much.
For such a small camera it does a very big job and does it well. I plan on purchasing another GoPro for the 3D affect, This is the only small cam I have found that offers this feature. If you plan on purchasing an action camera you wont go wrong with this one, with it's features and expansion packs you can do great things with this little jewel.Lire l'avis complet...
HD GoPro HERO2
The HD GoPro hero 2 is probably one of the best sports cameras out there. I was looking for a sports camera for not only me but my family, for when we do sports such as paintball, Moto X, on track drifting/racing and many other sports, and when I saw that the go pro hero 2 was the best sports camera I had found, I looked on YouTube for reviews. And in many of them there were very little to no bad factors about the GoPro hero 2. The GoPro HERO2 has the main video mode, a photo mode, burst frame mode, time lapse mode, self-timer mode and settings in which you can change the video resolution, flip the camera footage, change camera resolution and more. It also shoots video footage in 1080p-30fps, 960p-48fps, 960p-30fps, 720p-60fps, 720p-30fps, WVGA-60fps and WVGA-120fps.it shoots in wide angle but on the 1080p setting it can be changed from 170°-127°. But the best thing about this camera I think is that it had a very robust, water tight case that water proof to 60 meters. Although you can’t use an exterior microphone on it when you’re using the water proof case you can get a case called a skeleton case, which however it is not water tight but it has holes in it for the exterior plugs like mike and HDMI output. It has a great variety of mounting system varying from military helmet mount, wrist mount, surf board mount to car mount and accessories like a screen and more. But the kit I got was the motorsports edition that came with the camera, case, mounting system, helmet mounts, suction cup and more. But another thing, about the suction cup mounts. I have heard many stories about it just being stuck to the wing of a plain and it working very well. And I have mounted it to bike tanks, car bonnets and the front of a go-carts. But there was a little down side to my experience. When I first got my GoPro hero 2, one of the first times I used the clip on my helmet mount I slid it on and it broke a prong on the clip. But I contacted GoPro and they were happy to send me another one for free and that one has worked well. Don't let it's small size fool you, this is a little powerhouse of a camera. Insanely rugged, and excellent 1080P picture quality. In the short time I've had it, its been mounted to my helmet when riding sport quads, mounted to my wave runner, been worn snorkling, and parasailing. Skydiving will be on the list soon. The interface is easy to use, and the _amera is easy to manipulate even when you can't see it (like when mounted to your helmet). Best for extreme sports and conditions
The GoPro Hero2 is the best option for capturing the action in extreme conditions. Has everything you need to start shooting right out the box. The video and photo quality is very high, it is very easy to use for the intended main purpose (capturing video and photos in extreme sports or conditions) but don´t expect to use like a regular point and shoot camera, first of all, It doesn´t have a screen or view finder, so you must first make an idea of the POV in order to set the camera in the right angle and position you want to shoot. You can buy an additional display sold separately but I think that´s not the main purpose of the camera. It´s very nice at touch and small enough to set in several conditions. Very happy and dont believe you'll find better.
I purchased this product because I do a lot of offroad driving and riding, and was after a good camera to capture our experiences.
The GoPro is a very easy to use, and extremely durable little camera, with excellent features and video results.
The only thing that could be improved is possibly the battery life, however for most people the 4 hours recording available, (after a few charges) is plenty long enough.
I also like all the extras available for it, such as mounts and the wireless controls, which puts it way ahead of everything else in it's class, and even some more expensive units.
This unit replaced my Flycam which is good, but just gathers dust in the cupboard now I have my GoPro...Lire l'avis complet...
