Best course out there to actually become a musician, not just play a bit.

After purchasing several, (Ralph Paul, Fender - Learn to Play Guitar, Rocksmith, Esteban, and more), and having some success; I cam upon this product. Wow!

This is by far the best, as instead of trying to teach you how to make chord shapes, or copy jam tracks, the instructor actually teches you, very simply, to understand and read music. How about that; you could actually read the notes, not just play some chords or notes on your guitar. The instructor, is short, bald, a little overweight, and has short fingers; so if he can do it. . . anyone can!

Great fundamentals and good volume, very clear visually and aurally. My only suggestion for improvement would be to give the fretboard view from the playing perspective, (looking at the fretboard from the low "E" string, DOWN to the high "E" string), as is used on the Fender course. It's quite helpful, as it's the actual vantage point that one looks at a guitar neck, when playing one.

In every other way, the course seems very well layered to continue improving your abilities, while learning recognizable songs to demonstrate playing ability to friends and family.

If you really want to become a musician; an accomplisged guitarist, instead of someone who can play some stuff, but has no understanding of the notes, or music, or tempo; then this is the course for you!

Pace yourself

This is a great learning guide! It's a little boring at times, but you'll appreciate the slow pace at the beginning as you are learning more than you think!!!

Efficient and effective way of learning

Very Good and helpful product

I liked it. It's very helful.I liked the quality of the DVDs. In spite of I'm not a native english speaker I can understand what Steve says because he speaks at a reasonable speed.

Very very beginner stuff...! Not what you see and want to play from the videos. Wished I had skipped this stuff and bought the advanced stuff...
