HF 44991 belt drive mod.

This belt drive installed with no issues on my HF 44991 mill. Parts were of excellent quality. Large pulley arrived with a shipping(?) "nick" in pulley flange which required filing smooth. Would have liked some better provisions for spindle lock but as temp fix using a piece of key stock. Nice looking red shield will require modification to be useable. All in all mod kit is a good buy and mill runs very smooth and I'm glad I installed it before stripping the gears and having a large tear down to remove the broken gears pieces...Lire l'avis complet...

Belt conversion Grizzly Mini Mill

Although this conversion was not designed for my particular model I took a chance that I could mod it to work. Motor pulley was 9mm and I bored to 10mm keyway was fine after bore. Spindle pulley was 30 mm and mine was 28 mm. Shimmed with copper pipe. Works much quieter without the plastic gears one of which was busted with back order to the moon and back as far as I know. Will take a .020 cut with 1/2 inch end mill nicely. I highly recommend for any plastic gear milling machine.Lire l'avis complet...

Good upgrade for Mini Mill

I installed the belt conversion today with no issue except the cover, i have to cut left side of Cover because does not fit propper with my machine other than that work like a champ. Quiter and increase rpm.
