great gps receiver!! very easy to use.
i'm not a navigator by any means. i could get lost in a cardboard box. not anymore! the receiver tells you exactly where/when to turn. once you're used to the ins and outs of gps navigation, you're in there. with any type of directions though- if you're in a small enough area, you wonder about the directions it gives sometimes, but regardless-it will get you to your final destination. you may just have a couple extra turns to make. all in all, i can't complain.Lire l'avis complet...
Garmin c530 GPS Receiver
I previously had a Garmin i3, which worked extremely well but had a very small screen and was tedious to program with it's wheel system. The c530 solved both of these problems. The screen is large enough to be easy to see without being so big as to block the view and its touch screen system is a piece of cake to use for entering destinations, etc. Like the i3, it is also very accurate and provides easy to follow voice instructions. I bought this model instead of one of the higher priced Garmin models, like the Nuvi, because I just want a great GPS. Likes; Very easy to setup for a trip, great re-calulation feature if you miss a turn or choose to go a different way, like the day and night screen colors.
Dislikes; Not able to program in places like Us Army Posts, Air Force Bases, Would like to see an overview of the trip of a map prior to initiating the trip (I.E., number of miles, full route), Being a Charter Bus drive I would like to see a miniture Bus icon on the map as well.Lire l'avis complet...

it is very easy to use and very accurate it don't have lot of extras on it and don't have a large enough memory to hold the hole U.S. it does have the garmin lock that makes it so if someone else steals it they can't use it which is nice I always wanted a GPS so i bid on it and wonLire l'avis complet...
excellent driving aid
very easy to use, and good that it allows you get in the correct lane before you have to exit or merge. It may not take you the way you are used to going, but will quickly recalculate directions if you just start going the way you want to. Excellent tool if you take a wrong turn or miss your turn, as it will recalculate new directions to get you to your destination very quickly,,, just seconds..I bought two, one for me then one for my daughter who often gets lost or misses a turn going into NY city and Philly.Lire l'avis complet...

It gets me where I need to go. I travel a lot and oftentimes maps I print off of the internet aren't very straightforward and sometimes downright incorrect. The StreetPilot allows me to correct any wrong turns I take and can easily redirect me to my route if I need to get off of the highway in order to fill up my tank, get a snack, etc. Even if I may not use it very time I hit the road, I certainly bought myself much peace of mind when I invested in this GPS.Lire l'avis complet...
Great Product. Easy to use and works very good
Small and compact. Quickly re-establishes itself when you get off track. The unit has easy to use instructions and the screen is easy to use and understand. The battery life is very long (8hours). I am anxious to use the website to update my popular sites and to download new maps. I live in a newly developed are and not all the new streets are on there. Great GPS
I bought the Garim StreetPilot c530 GPS for a cross country trip...New Orleans to Los Angeles. My son in law called it the biggest waste of money he had ever seen. 24 hours later, he was asking for one for Christmas. We were in a 35 foot RV and were able to program the system to route us only on roads that were capable of handling a vehicle of that size. On the trip we were able to find specific restaurants and even camping/RV parking. I love the way it re-routes me if I decide to or have to go a different direction. I feel very safe with this because I don't have to worry about getting lost in unfamiliar places. It is super simple to use, and my kids loved programming it with a British accent and naming it Emily. I will be buying several more of these.Lire l'avis complet...
Greatest travel aid, ever.
After using a road atlas along with Rand Mcnally Tripmaker and streetfinder on a laptop for years, I finally made the jump to the Garmin Streetpilot. This is a full function Global Positioning System (GPS). When traveling, it will direct you every turn of the way, and when in need of fuel, food, lodging, or even points of interest, it is all available at the touch of the screen.
This unit will run about 8 hours ona full battery charge and when the battery gets low, just plug in the charger to a cigarette lighter socket or Accesory plug. (Same thing, different name)Lire l'avis complet...
garmin c530 review
Wht I like about the garmin is that right from the box to your windshield it is very easy to use. I've used other brands and did'nt like them. Garmin has a simple search and I found it easier to find my destination. I like the clear and precise view of the map screen. Also the recalculating is very quick.
