GW Instek Oscilloscope Gos-6112 2 Channel 100mhz

Excellent dual channel high-freq scope for the hobbiest.

I decided to get this used analog scope because of capability, cost and ease of use. Unlike digital lower cost USB scopes - everything is in one package. All the capability you expect is there. I will use this to develop projects on my RPI and to troubleshoot all my ailing electronics. I got a good set of compatible probes on Amazon. The manual is available on line. GW INSTEK GOS-6112 100Mhz analog oscilloscope

The scope works well, but I've bought two of these, and the weak point is the "encoder" type knobs used on the front panel. they are held together by just fold-over type clamps, and bumping the knobs can loosen them to the point that they don't work. i am still trying to locate a suitable replacement. Good overall but might need some tinkering

I am just a beginner but so far this fits the bill for most beginner uses without breaking the bank. Like it was mentioned in other reviews, the encoders can be a bit finicky and the handle is commonly broken off. In my case, the handle was broken off but that was fine as it will be sitting on a shelf but I also had to open up the encoders and clean the contacts out with iso alcohol because the encoders were jumping around when adjusted (erratically going forward and backwards when moved). After a quick cleaning, they worked like normal, just don't remove all the grease or they might free spin a bit too easily, just clean the contacts. Lire l'avis complet

I like analog scopes but unfortunately this one has no Digital storage option, It is handy from time to time. Overall built quality is good and if you want to purchase an analog scope with an affordable price just go for this. Could be better

This oscilloscope is great for training purposes, however it is lacking as far as signal clarity is concerned. It does the job but does not meet the requirements for precision measurements. Overall it works as described but falls short of my expectations. It is a great value and can be very useful for persons who are purchasing an oscilloscope for the first time. Easily out performs my Tektronix dual trace. Simple to use and I think that because it's built with SMD, it stays in calibration after shipping and long life. For my needs, it does what a digital does for much less money. Plug a frequency counter into the sync output on the back, use 10x probes, and now your frequency counter & scope share one 10Meg input.Lire l'avis complet

GOS6112 Analog oscilloscope

It is very smart instrument, with delayed (second or alternate ) time base. This funcion is very useful to analise digital words , if some dlitch os other problem in the digital line.

The second useful function that you put the cursor line on the screen to the signal and you can read the voltage, time, delta time, or frquency of the signal.

Not too much knobs , because most knobs has 2, or three function.

On old school scopes there are many potenciometers, but this modell has only one potenciometer Trace rotation. So You don't afraid abut potenciometers with contact problem.

Accuracy

Although it's a great price, I popped the cover and found most all the caps in some state of leakage. It looks easy enough to replace them. As with any electronic gear caps do age. Otherwise it fired right up.Lire l'avis complet

Good analog oscilloscope

Just great reasonably priced analog oscilloscope. Manual on-line just needed to buy two tek probes.

Really good oscilloscope for beginner's

It's a good equipment for start your home lab, has many functions like the digital scope, but not all, and the bandwidth is one of its best points.
