Great Scanner bad user interface.

Shipper is OUTSTANDING! The scanner arrived well protected and in immaculate condition.

The scanner works well with multiple pages. It lives up to its reputation. The scanner software is not as easy to navigate. There are way to many buttons to click to adjust from paper type to color adjustments. Simply, I don’t find it very user friendly. I should have listened to the reviews and looked for another option. Scanner Great, Software would not work with Windows 10

Fi-6130 is a great product

In my country malaysia, getting a scanner like Fujistu Fi-6130 is a great challenge. No reseller here.

I guess it is a great product if you use it for document scan. Won't be that great if you use it for graphic scan because it doesn't have software feature that can control the lpi for magazine quality or if you are very particular of scanning your graphic at particular dpi or for scanning only a particular section of a page.

Anyhow, I scanned a dictionary of 1950 pages as trial-run and it did that in 25 minutes duplex mode. That was less than half-hour job! Of course the feeder can only take 200 pages at time. Great if you use it for document scan and even better if you have VRS installed. I suggest for first timer, just install the driver (a small file in the scandall CD) and Kofax VRS. I find Fujistu ScandAll Pro and ScanAll useless when VRS software is used which can be accessed by right-clicking anywhere on the Windows desktop. For those considering to buy one, please ensure that the Kofax VRS CD AND ACROBAT (FULL VERSION) are included. Acrobat full version is very different from Acrobat Reader. Mine is Version 7.0 and it has the feature of converting scan text into text format which reduces the size of scanned pdf files greatly (albeit some text errors, example, 'm' is interpreted as 'rn' at times). Fi-6140 (the older model) comes with all the features of Fi-6130 but it has an additional scsci interface other than a USB and a higher scan speed than Fi-6130. It should have VRS and Acrobat Full version CD as standard as well(although maybe at a lower version number). (Make sure you check with whoever you buy provide these two CDs, VRS and Acrobat Full Version and version number).

The only regret is that I did not buy Fi-6230 which has a flat-bed for ease of scanning books. Else, I have no regret with Fi-6130. Fi-6140 is faster but it won't make much difference for a home user like me. But i believe it should be faster by 20%. It's odd that Fujistu packed more features on older model (fi-6140). fi-6140 also comes with some paper jam protection that minimise risk of torn paper coming out of the scanner - a feature fi-6130 does not have.Lire l'avis complet...

Fast, accurate, Duplex, color & black & white, one of the best!

The Fujitsu is one of the better scanners on the market, it's fast, does not jam, color or black & white, and does a duplex both sides. This unit has been out there a while and works well with a PC, not so much with a Mac, or does not work, probably due to age, and software.

A Mac would require the snap scanner, which I plan to also acquire, the 6140 is a little faster and newer, but this is a heavy duty scanner for a workstation, or a individual computer, works with USB, not a network scanner.Lire l'avis complet...

Great Scanner, no Driver Support

I purchased this duplex multipage feed scanner to replace the Epson DS-510 scanner I previously used at a different employer.

For speed, ease of use, and resolution this scanner is equal to or better than the Epson.

The problem I ran into was finding driver or software, as it appears that Fujitsu no longer supports this. I find downloads, but none of them work correctly.

I ended up purchasing for $89 the full version of VueScan x64, which operates the scanner great without the need for Fujitsu drivers. These two products together work great, although I didn't want to spend the extra $89.Lire l'avis complet...

Business Scanner

This scanner will outlast your laptop or phone. It's that good. It is so automated that one button can put the document in your cloud drive and be ready for review. You have to initially assign a scan button key to a set of routines, but once it's done it is very nice. If it jams the parts are replaceable. Fujitsu FI-6130 Flatbed Scanner

I purchased the FI-6130 scanner used and did not get a manual. I am slowly figuring out how it works and have been extremely satisfied with the product. This scanner was highly recommended from several users in the accounting and tax business and I have been very happy with the scanner so far. It's very fast, easy to use and has many more functions that I haven't had time to explore yet. I fully expect this scanner to simply my storage needs in oan organized fashion. Even with my limited familiarity with this product, I would highly recommend this scanner. The best scanner I have ever used!

I am just blown away with how productive this scanner helps me be! I have used several scanners over the years; everything from flat-bed HP scanners in the early years of color scanning to multi-function Canon scanners which take about as much desk space as the flat-beds, and have never been very impressed with their full functionality. My most recent experience had been with the predecessor to this Fujitsu, the fi 5120c and I thought it was an excellent scanner. But this fi 6130 tops them all! For example, I just scanned in all my parents letters they wrote each other during WWII, and was able to take a hand full at a time and feed them in and never, no, not even once did they jam or suck two or three sheets at the same time. Totally awesome! And I was able to scan in even the lightest pencil written sheets and achieve super contrast; better than the originals! Should have come with software.

I'm sure it would be great if it came with the drivers but it didn't. I haven't been able to successfully download drivers, so my computer won't recognize the scanner.
