Over priced but works great
The file works great but in my opinion it is over priced. I can buy a whole set of files for a lot less than this one costs. Stewmac appears to have very little competition with this particular tool and thus the price.Lire l'avis complet...

The only fret file to use!
This tool is perfect for filing sharp burrs off the edges of new fretted instruments. I wouldn't use any other type!

Nice...with conditions.
This file is way smaller than I expected it would be, but then, for fret ends......I guess it's sized right. It's just a file, and you can probably get by with something else. This one is far too expensive for anyone except the working luthier. as far as function goes, this is very nice. High StewMac quality. Functional tool but expensive for what it is.
This tool works fine, but it's really just a small file and could be replaced by a regular small file. The rounded shape on one side is useful but not necessary if you work with caution.

Great tool, crazy price
This works incredibly well but the price for hobbyist is a bit shocking. One the other hand, $25 for a small file to do $100-$200 worth of work is a deal. I wouldn’t hesitate to buy again but remember it is a purpose built tool that only resembles a simple needle file. Lire l'avis complet...

Great tool for the experienced or casual guitar tech.

Quality product that performs as advertised
Very high quality. It does a great job on the fret ends without damaging fretboard. I’m done wasting money on cheap tools and now buy most of mine from StewMac.

Amazing fret file
Small and simple, but the best. I’ve used this for a while on many necks now and works perfect. Nice rounded edge on side and flat protected edge on the other.
