It's OK
I purchased this antenna with the hopes of using parts of it for another antenna. However, upon arrival and closer inspection, it became obvious that I couldn't efficiently separate the parts I wanted from the main body so I opted for using the whole antenna as it was. To my surprise, it works well and better than I expected. One thing, however, worries me. Due to the way the rotor controller is designed, I may not be able to properly connect another TV set to it, but I may be wrong about this. Good bang for the OTA buck1
Antenna components are on the flimsy side so take care. Mounted mine on a 1" mast pole and set it on the side of my workshop using standoffs. Can't speak to long term durability but seems so far just post install. The main issue I have is the remote control which is semi-useless. It can't communicate with the power box if you are more than a few feet away and not pointing directly at it. Fortunately, I was able to look through a window at the TV and set the power box on a shelf right inside the window for aiming the antenna.
The power box has a big red button and I can't quite figure out its purpose but it seems to rotate the antenna from inside. The documentation says the antenna rotates 360 degrees but with the coax connecting on the base of the antenna the coax will surely foul and snag if you try and rotate the antenna a full turn. You more or less have to determine the general azimuth of the TV signals you want to acquire and then rotate using the remote control which has buttons for moving the rotation in either direction and do this from the outside observing the antenna.
Once the antenna in oriented, doubt I will get the urge to move it again. Picture quality is great and I get the same channels I receive on my RV's King Jack directional antenna parked near my shop; about 40 local channels including sub-channels.Lire l'avis complet...

Works but not great. Could be a lot better.
The Antenna was fairly easy to assemble and install. I live in the city and can't pick up my local stations without turning on the amplifier. Tower is just about 30 miles away and at 109 degrees. used compass to set the angle. if I move the angle any, I lose the stations. There are no trees within 2 blocks from me and it's a pretty clear path. Also, if it cloudy outside or rainy I lose the stations. My old Antenna did better than this one even in these conditions but the motor to adjust angle went out. If this doesn't improve, I will be reinstalling my old one. Was hoping to get more channels then I was already receiving, do like it can rotate but it hard to see what direction you are aiming at form TV
I put this on a 20 foot pole at my camp, aimed it directly at the location of the nearest city who broadcast 6 different stations, I am about 70 miles at most from the city, and was disappointed to find that I was only able to pick up the same 2 stations I already was receiving, now it was a little stronger signal but I was still unable to pick up the other 4 stations. Now when I turned it toward one of the other broadcasting city I did pick up 1 station out of the 5 they were broadcasting but it was weak and broken up this city is about 90 miles away. Junk do not buy, get a lava not these knock offs
Was so excited to get it in, then it came in and I opened it up, well one of my vhf radials were bent, fixed it in assembly process,then tested it before I mounted it glad I did cause the rotor didn't work,so I disassembled it fixed it, finish the assembly put it up on my 30ft mast pole,well it didn't perform any better than my RCA indoor antenna.so I got up next day took it back down moved it to the back of my house, guess what..even worse now,so I'm going to move it one more time if it doesn't work this time I'm done with it,not happy with it at this point.they told me it was same as the lava I had WRONG, my lava didn't do this mess.and by the way why would it pick up better off of the rear of the antenna than the front 5 radials that were ment to aim at the towers,humm you got me but I'm going to keep on with it one more try and if it don't work I'm returning it and buying a lava ....Lire l'avis complet...

A non-antenna
This item is worthless. I did a side by side comparison of this item with an old pair of rabbit ears. The rabbit ears outperformed this so called antenna by receiving 19 channels from 6 stations located at distances of 35 to 45 away. The so called 150 mile range antenna managed to receive one tv station from an 1800 foot tower located 3 miles away. I can receive this station with a piece of wire stuck in the back of the tv. Picks up many channels
I have this installed about 40' high to get over trees right next to my lake house. Have tried other antennas and the best I could do was 1-3 channels and sometimes zero in that area. It is out in the middle of nowhere beside a lake here in Texas. Install of the antenna was a job only because of the height of my mast and anchor wires, other wise ti would be a breeze.
The remote control worked great the first year, but has since quit, but since if needed I can rotate the pole it is not a big deal now. Unless the wind blows hard enough to change the direction it's no big deal. By the way what you really want to know is.......I now pick up 12 channels. What a difference.Lire l'avis complet...

Crazy Looking Antenna
Pretty easy to assemble and works great. We are around sixty miles from the station transmitters and get good reception. My only reservation is the sturdiness of the antenna. I guess we'll find out when the first thunderstorm shows up.Lire l'avis complet...

Rotor Motor a joke
This item comes with a rotary motor and a communication unit w/remote control.
Nice idea, only there is no control as to which direction the rotor turns. Remote left and right
buttons have no relationship to the direction it's turning and there's no indication anywhere on the unit which way you are turning it. It's totally random and therefore totally useless. It's also very jerky and quick in its turn rate so even if it did work properly, it would be very difficult to get it to point in a specific direction without manual adjustments.
As an antenna only, manually set, it works ok so far. Guess I should have guessed at the price...Lire l'avis complet...

Great antenna!
I bought this antenna for my mother. At the time she lived in town, but now she lives in the country. The antenna worked ok when she lived in town, but she seemed to lose signal a lot. Now that she lives in the country, the antenna works better than ever. She gets more channels that she did in town and the signal almost never goes out. Over all I'd say that this antenna is definitely a good buy. It hooks up easily and it's simple to use. The remote feature is great. I've hooked it up so my mom can stand in the kitchen and look out at the antenna if she needs to move it. She's been using it about a year and a half now and she's very pleased.Lire l'avis complet...
