i am 173 cm tall and using the shoulder on the shortest setting i am unable to lift a washing machine higher than 50 cm of the ground , the fore arm straps do not have a low enough setting

Too long

The straps are too long, you can barely lift a sofa off the floor, these were designed for forearm lifting, adding the shoulder straps became too long.
