Fly Fishiing for Dummies

I am just getting into the fly fishing fever and had lots of questions that I was unsure about as every one has their version of the best way to get started. This book was a god send as it not only got me off on the right direction but explained the how to and the way not to's.
It helped me understand the why not's and the why to's and how to's. I am still learning the basics found in this book every time I reread it. It may not be the best deal on the market but I don't know of any better.
I have gained so much from it that it I believe it to be a must read for any beginner learning to fly fish! For me it was simple plain language easy to understand and implement.Lire l'avis complet...

If you don't pick this up, you'll always be a dummy!

This is an excellent book! I'm new to fly fishing and wanted to learn a little bit before I started flailing away with my rod at the pond. You'll learn about the gear, the fish, and the technique with this book. It's also full of humor making it a good read as well as informative. It's easy to read and full of illustrations for casting, tying knots, etc. I learned everything I was hoping to and much more. Fly fishing for dummies

I bougt the book because I am still fairly new to the whole fly fishing scene. I thought it would be a good buy for some tips and tricks and things to keep in mind while I try fly fishing. Its been really helpful with little pointers about this or that. Its helped my casting a little and when people talk about fishing I know some of the termonology that they are refering to. Great for beginners

I have been fishing since I was a kid and new basic facts about fishing. This book covered many facts that I already knew but contained many things I did not know. It has a big section on how to tie specific flies that many beginners dont like, but I like it because it helps me learn to recognize the flies that I am looking at. Discriptive, to the point, hits with a whallop!

Reader friendly, comprehensive, good solid information. Suitable for absolute beginner but valuable for a more experienced fly fisherman.
