This is really a sweet book with wonderful illustrations & fun tea party ideas. The book is overflowing with full color illustrations by Cicely Mary Barker. The illustrations are from the original Flower Fairies Books written by Barker in the 1920's. The book covers many aspects of preparing for your fairy tea party. From how to begin, to invitations to games, crafts, recipes & more. Included in the book are punch out cardboard invitations, little fairies & flowers to decorate with, a menu board, & name tags. Ideas for the parties include recipes by season, crafts, fairy fashion, party games, fairy keepsakes & even party manners! Recipes include Strawberry No Cheese Cake, Crocus Fruit Cups Christmas Tree Toasties & More! Crafts to please include tissue carnations, party bundles, photo frame & easels. For Fairy Fashions you can make a Tiara, Floral Crown or Pom Pom Slip Ons. For games there are directions for Fairy Treasure Hunt, Musical Flowers, & Oh Pretty Fairy a Smiling Game. The entire book is done in lovely pastel shades that appeal to young girls. The book measures about 8" x 11.5" and has 29 pages. Center pages are a card stock for the cut outs mentioned above. what it is entitled -- hosting a tea party, with wonderful drawings by Cicely Mary Barker. The ideas are great -- recipes, games and even invitations, name cards and table
decorations. This is a neat little book, even for adult
