a well conceived collection, a smattering of pop and jazz influences, and a necessary road trip disc. doing a 'best of' with sting music is similar to my reaction to the police singles collection: should have been a double disc. a lot of these seem to happen that way; ultimately a best of is an opinion even if the artist(s) select the tracks. i mean, sir paul once said the best song ever written is 'god only knows' by brian wilson. cleary a classic, but what makes something or someone the best is purely opinion. enjoyLire l'avis complet...

Very best of "Sting a really great disc to have

Sting "Fields of Gold" The best of CD is full of Sting's great solo songs that I remember from the past;.

If you are a Sting fan I would recommend this CD in your own collection.

The cover is of a very good photo of Sting in black and white picture.

Well over an hour of great music.

Sweet, Sexy, Silly, Sting

Love, love, love every song on this CD. "All this time" always makes me smile. Sting is the prince of poetry & prose. The melodies, jazziness, orchestrations, mixed with his excellent lyrics make this CD a total joy.
"This Cowboy Song" is just too much fun. "Set them free" completely gives all lessons necessary for the perfect relationship. The man is drop dead gorgeous. He has it all!Lire l'avis complet...

A sting in the tail

Fields of Gold is a song that I like a lot. I'm not sure that I can say the same for the rest of the songs on the album. Songs seem to fall into one of two groups - those that are likely to be popular and are thus played on radio stations, and those that are less accessible. If you expect the rest of the album to be like Fields of Gold, don't buy. But, if you are a fan of Sting's background music, then this may be for you.Lire l'avis complet...

Super Sting

This is one of my all time favorite cd's. I love Sting so I enjoy this a lot. He sings 3 previously unreleased songs on here as a bonus. Fields of Gold is one of my all time favorite songs--it gets better and better as I get older. His words say so much--they are poetic. Fragile makes small things so important.
