Not as good as the original, but...good!

Not as good as the original (how could it possibly be?), but...good! After I heard about this spin-off series, I really had no interest...the original is so good, I couldn't see how a spin-off could compare. But after a friend recommended it, I took a chance...and watched the whole first season in 1 sitting. I'll continue watching Fear, but readily admit the original is better. slow begining with some promise

Tension with slow movement

You need to be able to handle visceral scenes to enjoy this. It starts off with high tension but not too much blood and gore for a while. It's the beginning of the destruction of civilization as we know it and it shows how different people deal with their attitudes towards life and face dramatic changes. When the stuff flies, can you trust your government? Excellent scenes where National Guardsmen act on the dichotomy between what they are ordered to do and what they, in their hearts, believe is right. A great beginning--let's hope that the writers and actors can maintain the level that this story begins with. Not for the faint of heart--really--but great!Lire l'avis complet...

The second viewing of this first season thriller has heightened my interest for more!

They say there is only one first impression. It had been awhile since I had begun viewing Fear the Walking Dead, Season 1, so I decided to refresh my memory. WOW! My "second impression" was indeed a repeat of the first. It was awesome the second time around. I quickly re-connected with the characters, each of whom was perfectly picked for their role. And the plot of living in a world turned upside down is reminiscent (to a degree) of where we are now in our unprecedented "COVID 19 world!" This DVD series captured my full attention. The only problem now is that I'm hooked again, needing the "fix" of at least another season's worth of viewing. BUT, after all, that's good for yet another Ebay sale!Lire l'avis complet...

Slow up start and drags but picks up in the last episodes - hoping for more action in the season's to come - I know Smiley (Training Day) has a lot more vigor and raw recklessness to offer - hope to see just that!Lire l'avis complet...

Past due

I will keep this short. When the series came out, we were chomping at the bit. How did the virus start and how did our nation react? We are huge fans so maybe my attitude is bit tainted. As in most good stories, it is hard to not interject your own thought process into how the story flows. I thought the story followed a real world line. Most people are clueless and ill-prepared for catastrophes, and this series showed that and showed how humans can adapt. Can't wait for more.Lire l'avis complet...

It's okay

Fear The Walking Dead season 1 is just "okay". The show was a little slow and there wasn't as much action as I'm used to seeing in the regular The Walking Dead series. I don't regret watching this but I wouldn't rewatch it ever again.Lire l'avis complet...

Very 'Gritty'

Nicely done, the whole feel of the show seems very 'gritty', Edgy. The characters are SLOW to realize they are in danger but perhaps that is the California mind set, liberals. a Little boring

I bought this out of curiosity - the first part was pretty boring , the acting was not to bad - but the characters were not all that interesting - it lacked action and intrigue - Not much for zombies either - I was pretty disappointed- it did not capture my interest and I will not get the second season -Lire l'avis complet...

It takes a bit to get into the show in the pilot episode. It's a little slow to start out, but by the time you get done with the second episode, you don't want to stop watching.
