This book is an informative read on John Sidney McCain III and his father and grandfather. This book is, also, a very compelling read about the hardships that often entail being a POW, which John McCain III experienced. A word of Caution, however, this book would be rated PG-13 if it were a movie. The book includes vulgarities that is often common in military life. The book is a nice read. I am a fan of the author.

It was a good read for background knowledge of the subject. It was well written and contained a lot of supporting references. John McCain Book.

Whatever way you vote Republican or Democrat, one thing is assured John McCain's love of country . His love of his own place,comes across very vivid in this book. His forgiveness of his captors , though not articulated , is evident also.I am Irish and would be tending towards Democrat, but it would have been nice to see such a patriotic man in the White House . Having said all of this , it is nice to see America shaking - off it's past and electing the first african american president . People may understand the Irish Catholic pride when Jack Kennedy was elected . As one of our govrnment said at that time " we have a friend in the White House .
