High School Reading as an Adult

This was one of those novels other people were assigned to read in high school but I never received that assignment. I often wondered about the references I heard as an adult and decided I should read it. It's a quick read but interesting especially when you consider when the book was published (1953) and Ray Bradbury's vision of the future. I'm not going to give a verbose review on it but say that if you're interested in classic American sci-fi literature, you should put this one on your list of books to read. Fahrenheit 451 - Doesn't Bring the Heat

I came back to this book after a few years from high school.

The book is more or less a compilation of speeches to bring about the theme of the book with a few action scenes to fill it out. Somehow the idea of censorship is always discussed but that's only scratching the surface of the novel. Many points are missed, like the idea of unrestrained consumption of commodities without a second thought to the labor behind the work.

Good to review old classics which seem to be true today tho written a loooong time ago!

Fahreheit 541

I stopped reading it because it was too strange. But I could tell that it was a good book for more modern reader. Agatha Christie is more my speed.
I've gotten all of the agatha books on EBAY that I can.

Perfect Quality. Alright Book

The book condition is excellent. Every page is mint condition. The book itself is just alright in terms of enjoyment.
If you wanna read a post-apocalyptic-type novel, read 1984. Wayyyyy better!

Read this book

After the recent riots in Berkeley, this book has never been more relevant. Written more than a half century ago, it prognosticates our current snowflake culture, in which anything deemed “offensive” is immediately and violently suppressed. Very important book.

F451-book condition

Book was in good condition --great price. Got it for my kid for school. The story is quite interesting if you have never read it.

Wish we had more writers like him. Have read several of his books and short stories and hopefully many more in the future if I can find the time.
