F.E.A.R. 2 is amazing and thrilling

I recently bought this game 'cause i had the first one and just wanted more of the suspense you get from playing this type of games at night and with surround sound. Like the first one, this game's main struggle is all based around Alma and the power she has over a lot of psychic overpowered enemies that just can't get enough of you. This game is both a sequel and a prequel to the first one in the sense that it starts with you being a member of another team much like in the first game, but after a little, you'll find yourself playing right after the ending of game one. This game has smarter and stronger enemies, better graphics and much cooler weapons when compared to the first one. If you're new to the FEAR scenario think of this, my girlfriend bought me the first one just 'cause she thought the game had a good story, i ended up buying the next one 'cause i didn't have enough with the first one and i'm on my way to getting F3AR (F.E.A.R. 3). My advice to anyone, HDTV 1080p and surround or headphones and pure after midnight playing... believe me, you'll never regret it.Lire l'avis complet...

F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin Playstation 3

Title:
F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin (Playstation 3)

Review:
For all we know its going to be a good action thriller one, with the ghost girl appearing once awhile in the game, thats enough to get you all hyped up, and the slow motion shoot-out is also fun as well, great graphics as with almost every PS 3 games some images can get very spooky just a heads up for you. If you decide to get this game you won't be disappointed!

Fear 2 for Playstation 3 rated M

F.E.A.R. 2 for Playstation 3 is a great combat, rapid fire, multi-armed melee of blood, guts and gore. And of course Alma, the omnipotent, telekinetic entity able to tear your body to shreds with very little effort. In this latest version of the popular game Alma shows signs of maturity and has other more sinister plans besides the bloody destruction of anyone that gets in her way. Plans that even the completion of this game may not truly reveal. You'll kill many opponents, battle an assortment of horrid creations and encounter spirits with special resurrection powers in enviroments that are improved in depth and rendering quality. There is more access to doors and passage ways as well. I wished it were at least a few levels longer.
But for me there wasn't enough Alma!
I was expecting more of an interaction between the main character and her. What I got by the end was quite a surprise.
But all in all I must recommend this fun filled, exciting and still engaging shooter game. And I am looking forward to the next release in this series.

Alma's return; leave the lights on!

F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin (PlayStation 3)is the next installment in the F.E.A.R. series. I enjoyed the 1st game very much. And I was eagerly awaiting the 2nd one. I read all of the reviews which rated it as a very good title. I must say it has not disappointed. This a first person shooter in the horror genre as is the 1st F.E.A.R. The control mechanics are setup for standard 1st person shooter. Although it still amazes me more titles do not have completely map-able controls as this one does not. However they have several selections that map like most 1st person shooters. The controls are very responsive no sluggishness detected. One of the problems with most horror 1st person shooters is the darkness associated with the surroundings. That is not a problem with this title. Don't get me wrong it is dark but does not take away from the game play. Graphics are what we have come to expect from the PlayStation 3...very good. There is a huge selection of very good weapons. the only thing that I did not like about this is you can only carry 4 weapons at a time. The 1st fear let you carry up to 10 health packs...This one only lets you carry 3...and there is far less of them. I think the HUD is a step back. I don't like how armor is not displayed in terms of percentage. now it's a bar. Far harder to read just like health. There are no voice messages to listen to. I think this takes away from the game as well. Intel pickups are the same as before could be better. There are very few trophies in the game which I was very disappointed in. Basically you get a trophy for completing each level and that's about it. Multi-player does have allot of trophies. The game offers 20+ hours of game play which seems to be the standard today. The story is o.k. very few cut scenes. The voice audio is very low. So you need to have the volume way up to hear. Then everything else is to loud. This was a problem on the 1st fear as well. The actions is fast and plentiful. The 1st fear I thought started off to slow and didn't have enough enemies. Not so with Fear 2. One level they added that they could make a whole game out of was an armored suit level. Where you get to get inside the suit armed with guns and missiles and walk around and kill other armored suits and of course lay waste to soldiers. That was allot of fun. This game has auto save and are frequent. So if you die you will be pretty close to where you died. So you don't fill like your starting a level all over again. This is a mature rated game that does not hold back. Plenty of blood, cursing and dismemberment. So definitely understand what you are getting into when you purchase this. This game will not beat out Resident Evil 5 for game of the year but it's still a very solid 1st person shooter that's worth the price of admission.Lire l'avis complet...

Great Game, prepare for scare. and shooting

I played it several times at a cousin's house. Finally had to buy it. Worth buying, not just borrowing.

Its a good shooter but it adds something I didn't find in any of the Rainbow Six games, or anything else worth playing. I'd say it has its great, scary, suspenseful moments. I love those moments and there are plenty of them. Its not the same over and over though. It switches it up pretty well.

Seriously, not sure who had the nightmares to plan out this game but I wouldn't want to sleep. Even if there was no talking from your NPC team mates ever, you would still feel like you are in a crazy **** storm with no control and things just keep getting worse.

See how deep the rabbit hole goes in the FEAR 2 nightmare world. Because its fun and you have to.

F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin (PS3) One Scary Shooter !!!

I originally played the First F.E.A.R. And fell in love with the series. This game rocked !!! In some of the sections, The A.I. seemed to learn what you were gonna do before you did it in the game and they even countered your moves !! (This freaked me out on several occasions about this game !!!) This version, The part 2 of this series is denoted to "scare the pants off of yaz" as quoted by the creators. And so far as from what I have seen so far in this game.., It delivers !! I am only on level one in the game and on easy mode( yeah.., I want to start out easy and the replay it up in harder modes to fully work the game..this way I can find all the pros and cons of the game.)
To sum all of this up, IF you are a "Resident Evil" gamer and LOVE horro shooters.., you wont be dissappointed with this game. !!

F.E.A.R 2: Project Origin (PS3) Review

F.E.A.R 2 Project Origin is the sequel to the first F.E.A.R. You will not be the same character as you were in the last game. You are sent into the city to investigate what went on after the explosion in the first game. The story is just like the first F.E.A.R. It makes little sense and you cannot figure out exactly what is going on. So if your looking for a deep story you wont find one here. As far as the game play goes everything seems pretty solid. The graphics and sound are well done and you will see more locations in this game than in the first F.E.A.R.

Pros: Graphics, Sound, Guns, Scary

Cons: Story is confusing, Tons Of Profanity, Game Gets Boring after awhile

fear 2

F.E.A.R. 2 was indeed scarier than the first, it's not too often that a game can make you scared stiff enough to not want to move your character. Graphics are excellent, there's non stop action, plenty of gore, a very frustrating principal, and again, very spooky. There's these ghost like characters and how the light bends around them is amazing. The sound is wonderful and the weapons resemble what you saw in the original. The atmosphere changes much more than the original leaving the game a little more interesting as well. My only gripe was that the end was kinda strange and didn't leave me with the same kind of excitement that a gigantic explosion and your worst nightmare climbing up after you did for me when the original ended. Other than that, excellent game.Lire l'avis complet...

Fear 2 Review

Part shooter and part thriller, F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin wraps a web of conspiracies and cover-ups around an experimental military paranormal program gone horribly wrong. Each of these pieces plays a part in developer Monolith's master plan to unsettle your psyche, overload your senses with disturbing imagery, and then let you unleash the pent-up tension with a satisfying pull of the trigger. It works; so well in fact that, depending on your constitution, a break may be in order at times just to let your heart rate recover. That blurring of the line between game and reality reflects how well the design potential of the original F.E.A.R. matured into a polished follow-up....
