Just The Ticket

This has all the deep tone you look for in a bass and yet can do some modern snaps. The notes are smooth and rich sounding and carry the rhythm section. I have tried other flat-wounds and they seemed lifeless these are the opposite they bring the tone and are easy on the fingers. And they are very forgiving and don't buzz on the frets like round wounds do. The smaller size makes playing a breeze. They sound excellent in the studio too.Lire l'avis complet...

Game changing flatwounds!

Unique and amazing tone! Lively and full, unlike many flats. Phenomenal value as well! String through body, on my 34” scale bass, with zero issues. I’ll be buying many more sets!

Fantastic strings!

I use these on both of my vintage basses: A 1975 Rickenbacker 4001 and a 1979 Kramer aluminum-neck B450. These sings are easy on the necks and frets, while retaining plenty of low-end thump. They are very smooth and comfortable to play. I highly recommend them.Lire l'avis complet...

Extra slinky extra good

These are great strings for a beginner
As soon as I started playing on rounds it was hurting my fingers- I know I need to build up calluses however i am just beginning and it made practicing difficult
These are super smooth and easy to play.
They have great sound- Highly recommended

Cobalts Rule!

I purchased these as spares because the price was too good to pass up. I have these on an Ibanez with a stupidly thin neck. These super light gauge are the only flats that don't warp the neck and trash the fretting. The sound of the cobalts is also unique, from dark, smooth flat sound to bright, slappiness I didn't know you could get with flats. I hope they never stop making them.Lire l'avis complet...

Nothing else from now on.

The best string created for bass. Playing for 50 years and all my basses are strung with Cobalt Flats. The price is too high but they honestly sound close to rounds but ultra smooth and fast playing with no noise. Output is definately higher to my ear. I can even slap and get a good sound. I can't say enough about these. I have them on both short scale and long. The hybrid set is a good replacement for 34 inch scale. Definately a game changer and the first real advance in strings in my lifetime.Lire l'avis complet...

You’ll get a grab out of these!!

These strings lasted me a good 3 years throughout my college Jazz ensemble class. Never had the need to change them, they still retain its tone after 3 years!! and honestly I’m okay with that cause over the years as they grow old the better it sounds than fresh out the pack. Although I do have to warn that these strings will feel a bit grabby once they’re set and if you have hairy arms/forearms enjoy the strings pulling your arm hairs. That’s my only complaint about these strings.Lire l'avis complet...

Roundwounds to Flats..

Nice to play on something different, I've always used Roundwounds, they are a lot more responsive than I would have imagined..

Tried but failed.

They were too light for me (40 60 70 95) and I really wanted light flatwounds. Sigh. They caused alot of fret buzz even after raising the saddles on the Yamaha RBX170. I didn't want to adjust the neck. So, I put the original roundwound stings back on and relowered the saddles. My other bass (Yamaha TRBX204) uses LaBella LTF-4A Low Tension Flexible Flats (42 56 70 100). Really happy with those, but they cost $16 more. Oh well, I tried. :-)Lire l'avis complet...
