Epson Workforce 610

I did quite a bit of research before deciding to upgrade from my HP all-in-one printer. The HP unit worked fine but the ink cartridge prices were too expensive and they didn't last long. Cheaper generic cartridges didn't always work well. So I was looking for something with access to a continuous feed, quality ink system.
This Epson unit was quick and easy to set up. It is quite large, over 9" in height and loads from the top so it won't fit into small spaces. It prints very fast but as others have said, it is incredibly loud. The first time I used it I almost jumped out of my chair! It does have a "quiet mode" but it slows the printing time down. It does a great job on printing text. I do a lot of color printing, like cards and here it does just OK. The colors seem more muted and it doesn't feed heavier weight papers as easily as my HP printer. I know that it's always advised to use the same mfg's. paper but this has never mattered before and besides, card-stock isn't even shown as available from Epson on the list of paper choices. The creative software that comes with it isn't very useful either so I got rid of most of it. Most of it is just a ploy to get you to buy more software.
So I would sat that if you need a unit for office work and noise isn't an issue, this unit is fine. However, if you are the creative type, I would look for something else.Lire l'avis complet...

Fast and easy to use - over all a good value.

My son gave me an Epson Workforce 600 for use at home. It solved our problem of getting a printer to work with 3 computers with 3 different versions of windows on a wireless network. I liked it so much that I bought the Epson Workforce 610 for my business, where we have 3 computers as well, and the old all-in-one machine died. I especially like the flat-bed scanner with scanning software that is faster to use than our old machine. One charateristic I don't like is that when one of the ink cartridges is empty, it will not print at all until that cartridge is replaced (even if the empty cartridge is one of the three color ones and you ony want to print in black & white).Lire l'avis complet...

Early Review

Since receiving the Epson 610, I have had only minimal use. I set mine up through the wireless connection. The setup instructions were accurate. Entering the encryption code was a small bit cumbersome, but easy once you saw the pattern. The machine prints very fast. It actually surprised me. I read other reviews that said the paper would jam. That has happened once so far. The paper was old. The paper does move very quickly, so if it has any dog ears, it could be a contributor to jamming. So far so good. The print is clear and accurate. I haven’t printed photo quality yet, so I am not able to comment on that. I also have not printed enough to determine if the ink usage is reasonable. Fast printer, loads of features for low price,good buy!

I like the printing speed and the fact I can load 30 sheets of paper at a time. Scanning feature, coupled with the software program makes sending attachments to e-mails very efficient. I don't plan to use the faxing feature right now, but having access to such a feature will make it convenient in case I do need it in the future. It's a very versatile printer with loads of features for a very low price. The only drawback and it's a small one at that, is that perhaps it doesn't have the quality photo printing capability of other Epson photo printers, but it does do an adequate job of producing decent prints and other visual graphics.Lire l'avis complet...

I really liked this printer; it was perfect for my needs when purchased.

I bought this printer about a year ago and got it for an excellent price: $92.00 out the door (Last one and I was told model was being upgraded and 610 was being discontinued. I was very pleased with it; the speed was excellent and the print quality was good.
Unfortunately,a year later it has stopped working correctly, even with new ink, it doesn't print well at all. I think it is done. I'm not too upset because I am sure I printed over 3,000 pages on it, as I was doing flyers for a friend's campaign when I purchased it and did extensive images and pictures. Had I been doing normal home printing, I'm sure it would have lasted much longer. Nice Printer

My printer broke, which was kind of good as it was lousy anyway. The Epson Workforce 610 is a fast printer with great colors. Set up was easy.

I read a lot of reviews before i purchased it, all were good.

My only problem is that I need it to print labels and the label papering is too thick. The printer has a bit of a problem pulling in the label sheets. I hope to find a way to make adjustments so that it isn't a problem. I really need to sit and read through the manual. There has to be a way to do it since it is supposed to print pictures - that paper is pretty thick too, so maybe I need to adjust something. I don't want to have to babysit the process.

It is a bit loud, but sleeping people in the room next to my office were not bothered by it or disturbed at all.

Bottom line is that I like it very much and want it to work well for me. It sure prints fast!Lire l'avis complet...

Great All In One

Thsi is the second time I have purchased an Epson All In One. I have only positive things to say about this machine. It is easy to set up and works great. The printer is fast and is extremely easy to use. The quality of the print jobs is outstanding and my favorite feature of all is the WiFi feature. I can print from anywhere in my home or office. Workforce 610 Copier

Tried it today, 1/9/2016, for the first since I received it. Worked just fine. It did exactly what I need, to print 8 pictures on one piece of plain paper. You cannot do this on the newer machines. Will not print.

Epson Workforce 610 - great multifunction

Easy to install, easy to use for faxing, printing and copying. Makes great, fast color or B&W copies. Haven't tried the FAX function yet. Well made printer with easy set-up instructions. Hooks right into home network (NOT connected to computer, just plugged in with a LAN cable). Or, you can hook to a computer with USB cable.
