Good Printer

It does what a printer does but the network discovery does not find my SSID. i have to connect it to a computer to get it networked and it should be able to stand alone as a network printer. Otherwise a good printer. I brought it to print CDs and DvDs.Lire l'avis complet...

Epson Artisan 730- Great little printer

Epson Artisan Review:
I use two printers, a Canon Pro 9000 for my color prints and an Epson Multifunction for scanning and daily printouts. My Epson CX 4800 was not printing color output correctly.
Apparently, the 3rd party ink I was using (LD Products) killed it. So looking for a replacement, I decided on an Epson Artisan 730 since it uses six colors, and I could also use it for small prints. The first Artisan 730 that I received was quick and easy to install and was fine for scanning and email printouts but was horrible for color prints. I discovered that only 3 of the 6 heads were working, after multiple head cleanings with no results, I decided to return it to Epson for exchange. The New Artisan 730 works great. I tested it for scanning: Great, General printing: Great, 2 sided printing: Great and 4x6 color prints on Glossy prints were Photo Lab Quality or better. The real surprise was when I took an old faded 38-year-old “C” print and used the Photo Restore feature; The result was fantastic, (Color, Contrast and Saturation matched the print, just as I made it 38 years ago, exactly) as good or better than I could have done in PhotoShop. Overall it’s a great little printer, especially for the money. The only negatives are that the paper tray, and the scanner lid, are not a robust as the earlier CX4800/7800 series. By the way, I am a New York Commercial Photo Lab manager with over 45 years of experience.

Print head in magenta did not work

Even after cleaning the print heads several times, I'm still not able to get magenta to emerge. I've looked up how to clean the heads so I'll try that next. If that doesn't work I'll have to rob the cartridge and heads from the unit I have that no longer works. If I had known the head only worked on 4 of the 5 colors I probably would have passed.Lire l'avis complet...

A workhorse of a printer!

I run media duplication for a ministry serving over 80 countries plus over 90% of the state and federal prisons in the US. I run all CD and DVD duplication through 4 Epson Artisan 730 printers, and have NO problems. I did set them up on continuous ink supply systems and waste ink collection tanks which are saving us over $2000 per year, but the printers are reliable workhorses. I did have 1 die on me, but I suspect that I just plain wore it out. Over 15,000 discs on one printer is acceptable in my book. If you are printing small amounts, the Artisan 730 is probably overkill, as there are less expensive printers out there that print as well, but if you need a reliable high output printer, the Artisan 730 is most certainly the way to go!Lire l'avis complet...

Epson Artisan 730

This model is the most convenient inkjet printer for CDs and DVDs that is reasonably priced. Print quality for photos is quite good. The downside is the expense of ink.

nice printer but this price is outrageous the man who stopped to help me

I would stay away from this printer at this price. I don't get it. They are 5 years old and new from Epson they were $279 ! I don't understand how anybody could ask this much for a 4 year old printer that listed for only $299 when new. You can buy today's latest technology from Epson for far less money. I don't get why anybody would pay this kind of money for this old the printer!Lire l'avis complet...

Worth the money but there should be instructions to cut out a little section of the print cartridge door so you don't crimp the line.

It is a great printer

It stacks easily. when useing it with other Epson 730's . Aso stacks good in a car for traveling. You can stack four together and it doesn't take up much space.
