I took a quilting class on paper-piecing and we used a Carol Doak book as our text for learning. I was very impressed. So my mission has been to collect all of her paper-piecing quilt books. Her designs add color and being patient with each design empowers me to realize that she has shared her knowledge. I made a quilt using this technique and it turned out very well and gave me the confidence to complete it to my satisfaction. This book is a great way to use scraps. There is nothing more fulfilling and to accomplish a new technique. The class taught me how but the books gave me lots of ideas and the confidence to put those ideas to work on fabric.

I don't have the patience to read a book to learn things, therefore the classes helped clarify the 'how to' process. I am not afraid of trying anything from her books. You cannot go wrong with any of her books.Lire l'avis complet...

Carol Doak paper piecing flowers, plus

I am a quilter and love paper piecing. Carol Doak's patterns are great. The only disappointment with this book is that none of the patterns are large enough to use. All have to be enlarged. This is not a problem in that you would make multiple copies to actually do the paper piecing. My problem is that my printer will not sufficiently enlarge the patterns so I have to take it to a copy shop.

Otherwise, it is everything you would want or expect from Carol Doak. Highly recommend any of her patterns!!Lire l'avis complet...
