Sure beats bending over for large plots

Overall a good product, but only works well on fine soil with no rocks, roots or sod. Axel nuts need to be lock nuts as they vibrated loose carrying on my 4 wheeler. Also, stand is worthless, needs to have a wider bar on it to keep from tipping over even in no wind conditions and drag chain to cover seed needs to be wider and heavier. Marker on marker bar for next row should be a drag chain instead of a rigid piece of metal as it catches on things. But sure beats bending to plant seeds.Lire l'avis complet...

Not so precision garden planter

Assembly is easy and straight forward ,no problem there. the problem starts with the rubber handles sliding off with the slightest pressure,the plastic holder for the distance measuring bar falls off within the first two feet. when using the recommended seeding wheel for corn or peas,the seeds come popping out the top and it does not drop the seeds at regular intervals, but one every so often. Perfect garden planter

Works great!

Big Time and Back Saver!

Bought this for my wife who enjoys vegetable gardening and we have two gardens. One is only about 30' x 40' and the other is just under half a acre. It used to take her two full days at least to mark the rows and either bend or be on her knees planting and spacing the seeds then going back and covering them. Light and easy to use

With well prepared soil this is a real time and work saver. I love the thing. I get good germination with less seeds. The only problem I had was after a rain when the soil was wet the cover chain would not cover the seeds. I attached a small (3/4" X6") metal rod to it with tie raps and it worked much better. Makes planting your garden so easy.

Was not sure how this would actually work, but it is great. I love the changeable seed planting disc,s and how easy it is to go from corn to beans to even radishes. Has an adjustable arm that drags to mark exactly how far apart your rows are that is switchable from side to side for up and back planting. Even spaced seed placement, makes the furrow, drops the seeds, and covers them up all in one pass. Wish I had bought one of these years ago. No more laying off row with my tractor or by hand, bending over to plant seeds by hand. Covering up by hand. This machine takes all the guesswork out of how deep and far apart to plant. first time user

tough year getting garden tilled with all the rain. The first area was really clody bur rows seem to be coming up filled in good. still waiting to see how good. It is time saver.

Great - BUT could be better

The design team could redesign the bin for the seeds to be tilted so gravity would always pull the seeds to the disc. As it is now, we have to tilt the machine to the right to help the seeds into the disc.Lire l'avis complet...
