Once you read this book, you will be hooked. I have read all of this series. A movie was made from this book and it was very bad. You can't make a good movie from a book that uses words to describe so many things that happen in this book. Early man was not using words but using body language. The book explains it. Every move and signal and meaning. Non of that was known to people watching the movie so they were lost from the beginning.

This is the beginning of the best story I have ever read and it was the beginning of my love for reading. (Wonderful book and books)

Excellent Book

This is the 1st book in the Earth's Childrens Series. I have read this book 3 time and listened to the audio version once. Each time I have discovered new things. I love the descriptive writing style and the way I feel like I am a fly on the cave wall with a front row seat to the life of Ayla. The book "Clan of the Cave Bear" by Jean M. Auel is about the hard life in the last ice age. The life of two branches of people, that were living off the harsh land. I have rear this book often, lost it and replaced, a few times. I enjoy it everytime,I rear it. I can't wait for the next book in the series to hit the book shelves.Lire l'avis complet...

I haven't read any of these books before, so I am eager to get started. The books have been around several decadEs and this book might be one of the older ones.
