Very handy, cleans pretty well.

Really very good for a lightweight vacuum. It's easy to use and the charge lasts long enough to clean my whole house (2200+ sq. ft.). I have arthritis in my hands and it's easy to hold. It does a very good job surface cleaning. My carpet is thick, and my old Hoover left the carpet fluffed up and soft, which the Dyson is too lightweight to do. I took one star off because it does not deep clean, and also because it is ridiculously expensive for a little light cleaner The battery power is impressive and it is very nice indeed not to have to deal with a cord, so that is valuable, but for me, the battery is the stand-out feature on this machine, otherwise it's just like many other lightweight vacuums which cost hundreds less. Great product, effective, handy, compact. Dyson Animal

I bought a factory refurbished unit, it is supported by Dyson, I hear their warranty is really good (a friend said they don't ask questions, they just replace it, but I have no first hand confirmation). The suction is good. The instructions on routing the power cable into the wall plate dock aren't very clear, but once you put 2 screws into your wall to support it, you plug it in, mount the base into the dock and it takes maybe 4-5 hours to charge up. There are more attachments than you are likely to need. Very handy for the car, carpets, dog bed, etc. This product picks up dog hair no problem. I am sure there will be complaints about the size of the catch basin for the dirt, but the objective is to be quick and nimble here. You cant have a big dust bin, make it light and small, so be prepared to empty the container often. The emptying is super quick just click click. Now seeing the amount of dirt you pick up in one pass is pretty gross, but remember you are seeing your dirt now, so you really know how dirty your house is. It's simply creating more awareness, of course your house is no dirtier than when you had a Cannister or Bag vacuum. The battery is 40 min on low settings, if you really max it out, you get maybe 10 min which is enough time to get the worst of it. This machine is well made, well planned, and you can always buy another battery I guess, if you have a big house. This is meant as a nimble vacuum to clean up quickly, great if you have a dog. I really like there are 2 filters that can be cleaned with water and wrung out. Nothing worse than buying a product and then getting sucked into ongoing purchases of 'special' filters (eg your fridge water filter) so that's really nice. I'm curious how long the battery lasts but I'm quite confident that if Mr Dyson can be planning to launch electric cars, he will have looked into using the best battery technology available, and I love lithium batteries for lightness and charging cycles, they are great. My new favorite vacuume

I love this vacuume !! It works amazingly I use it to vacuum all of my area rugs throw rugs and my floors for such a small vacuum it packs a lot of power you wouldn't think that it would but it does and it's two different settings and when you put it on the highest setting it even sucks the dust out of the rug!!
that's incredible I also love the tools that come with it because I can vacuum the cobwebs off my high ceilings and I can clean my ceiling fans easily now. I really am so happy that I got this because I was struggling before trying to find a good one. with an animal and two children there is always something on the floor, weather there be cookie crumbs,cereal or cat hair this vacuum just picks it all up and it makes everything look brand new again! Love it, but...

I have the big, corded Dyson and love it, but it can be difficult to use in crowded spaces and corners. The cordless version is perfect for that as well as quick clean-ups in the kitchen or car. My only complaint is that it's extremely difficult to empty the dust bin. Since everything about Dyson design is generally simple and easy to use, I wonder if this was something that went wrong when it was refurbished?Lire l'avis complet...

Great suction, light

This Dyson works great and has great suction on carpet and bare floors. Used it also on cleaning our shades. My only complaint is the battery life is only 7 minutes at the higher suction. Two settings and the lower suction will work and last longer but the higher speeds eat up battery life. Then you have to wait 5 hours before it fully charges. Dyson SV10 V8 Animal Vaccum

I honestly couldn’t be happier with my purchase. I own a Dyson upright canister animal vacuum and it does a very good job; but the SV10 is easy to pull out of the mount, grab the needed attachment and tend to a spill, quick touch ups, hard to get to spaces, and especially hair removal from furniture daily. As an adult it’s my new favorite toy, and one I’m happy I spent the money on. I purchased a refurbished model, and while it came with some dust on it it was otherwise perfect and an exceptional value. The vacuum runs at a lighter power than traditional vacuum cleaners (can be adjusted with max setting, shortens runtime to 7 minutes) but does a fantastic job maximizing the power available while the max setting can be used for more demanding jobs. The unit comes with a generous amount of attachments to handle whatever job may be put in front of you. 100% recommend to anyone with animals or anyone looking for a more robust Dyson stick vacuum to make cleaning the house, and keeping it that way, a much easier proposition than ever before.Lire l'avis complet...

love our Dyson cord free

We absolutely love this Dyson! We already had an older corded version that we bought second hand on Ebay and we loved that. This one is truly amazing and love the fact that it is light and cord free just pull the trigger and go! Really simple to empty the chamber. Always wanted one and finally came upon some extra money and said lets do it. Only thing you have to watch is battery life if you are using at max power mode. Great vacuum with slight battery issues

Vacuum works great. Works on the low pile carpet in my room, living room rug, vinyl flooring. Super easy to maneuver and use.

Lightweight and easy to use

I got this vacuum to replace a Miele that I had for 20 years that finally gave out. I did try a couple of other cordless stick vacuums before I settled on the Dyson. I like this vacuum, although there is a lot of room for improvement.

What I like about this vacuum:

- Good suction so it does a good job of picking up a lot of stuff on the lower setting - especially light things like pet fur
- It is lightweight
- It is easy to change out the accessories
- It is easy to empty over a garbage can
- The head size is fairly small which makes it easier to use on stairs
- The head is very low to the ground, so it fits under almost all of my furniture

What could be improved:
- There is no light on the front
- There is no place to store the accessories on the charging station
- The lowest setting only runs a total of 25 minutes
- The higher setting uses up the battery incredibly quickly
- You have to hold the power button constantly - while this doesn't initially take that much pressure, it does require you to keep the pressure on in one position for an extended period of time which is much harder that if you could shift the position of your hand as you move the vacuum, so I find it very uncomfortable when I run it for the full 25 minutes
- You can't turn off the roller when you switch from rugs to wood floors, so small things like crumbs and kitty litter tend to get blown around
- It will only pick something up if it is directly on top of it, so a crumb that is just slight to the side of the head, like right against a wall, won't get picked up

For now, I think this is one of the best cordless options. The biggest factor for me was the ability to move through the house quickly, so easily changing accessories, no cord and getting under the furniture and down the stairs with ease were the main reasons why I liked this vacuum best.Lire l'avis complet...
