BETTER than I expected in every way!

Really well thought out generator. It comes with EVERYTHING you would require except for a WATERPROOF cover. Comes with the TOOLs needed to assemble it, and; it is well marked where things are located. I added oil, added fuel, then; this is the part you need that is NOT "obvious" from reading the instructions.

* CONNECT the NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE to the BATTERY.
* It takes a tad more than 1-QUART of OIL
* FIRST START might take a 3-to-4 PULLS of the RIPCORD

Here is MY OWN procedure for starting this:

a. Check the OIL (it has a DIPSTICK!)
b. Add FUEL (it has a FUEL GAUGE!)
c. Turn the IDLE CONTROL to OFF
d. Put the CHOKE to OPEN (toward the right)
e. Put the Fuel Valve to ON (downward)
f. Put the KEY to the ON POSITION
g. Pull the RIPCORD -or- Key Start Like your CAR

After the First start, I let it run for 10-minutes.
It was enough to get a KEY START second time around.
I let it run for another 10-minutes.

BECAUSE of the BATTERY. And, I've learned from painful experience, from my first generator, I recommend STARTING IT EVERY OTHER WEEK. Like When you cut the lawn, start your generator. Doing this will make it EASY when you NEED IT.

And it will keep that BATTERY CHARGED!

Just ran my house on this generator for 3-days and 3-nights. Bad weather forced the use. I am careful during such outages to use ONLY WHAT I NEED, which may be why I get as good as I do. I was able to run the generator for 12-hours on 8-gallons of fuel, and thus, only had to re-fuel it twice a day. It does a fantastic job, and I would recommend it to anyone.

Again, I say, this is a FANTASTIC Generator. I was one of the BLESSED who got this one for $650. A great buy indeed! Thank You GOD.

Quality Product

After it was delivered, directions were good for assembly of the wheels and handles. It started right up the first time, with no choke. I was surprised how actually quiet it was at high speed. Don't get me wrong it's not quiet like a (_onda) but really pretty good. At idle it is very quiet. I've yet to test very much under various loads but so far so good. 629shipped with wheels, can’t beat that!

It took 3days from ordering til item arrived in a truck with lift gate to residential address w/o extra bogus fees. It powered the entire house with ease, noisy when full load. But with light load it’s purring like a kitty. I live at the coast and Hurricanes hit and lose power almost every year, having this will definitely feel like life uninterrupted despite Mother Nature’s.
I was debating between this and HF Predator 9000w/7250w but taxes and the extra wheel set will add up to 727.58 nearly $100 more! I have seen the Predator at HF and the Durostar is way more robust and larger engine by 20cc, 440cc Durostar vs 420ccHF Predator.
I had a similar generator the last 3 years. Another Chinese brand Powerland which is identical to Durostar but smaller cousin at 4400kw/3500w. I ran it during last year storm Florence with old gas from 2years prior and started w/o hiccup despite never been oil changed either! But it could not handle 4freezers, 2 A/C windows unit, lights ect.
So in conclusion this is a great buy. I feel like I stole it lol. Can’t wait til the next storm, I will not evacuate again in fear of losing power. Get one for yourself before the sales end.Lire l'avis complet...

Best of the Best

I've had a few other generators, but none as powerful as this one and none of the others had electric start or the auto idle control which I really like about this generator. This DS 10000 E is very quite for a 16 hp generator, on auto idle it will run for hours and hours on a couple gallons of fuel when I ran my 23000 Btu ac, my ac was on energy saver and would run about 4 minutes and cut off for 10 minutes then back on for 4, nothing else was hooked to the generator the gen idled down real low when ac was off and sped up when ac came on, a really nice feature. this gen has a 50 amp outlet for running most if not all of your house, it also has a 30 amp twist lock 120-220 volt outlet as well as a 120 volt twist lock and 2 120 volt regular outlets, it also has a 12 volt outlet that can also be used as a 12 volt battery charger. I like my generator a lot, but would not recommend it for camping trips as it is way to heavy for such light duty use ( my personnel opinion ) this generator seems to be very well built and is very pretty to look at, if you would rather have blue and black, then buy the Duromax 10000 kw they are the exact same generator other than color, one is red & black & one is blue & black. I will just add that this generator has a low oil shut off a manual fuel shut off and a keyed ignition to start, run and stop the generator,( 18 Amp hour battery) also has an alternator to keep the battery charged while it is running. The weight of this gen is over 325 lbs with a full tank of fuel and oil. I seen a couple of reviews that said there gen leaked oil, mine is dry as a bone and if it did leak, you have a 30 day replacement with max tools, they pay the shipping both ways, so if something were wrong you would not have to worry about it unless it were after 30 days, then they furnish the parts, but you're responsible for the labor. So far I have had no problems
After I put it together, put oil and gas in it, then connected the battery.
It fired right up and ran great.
