Mtg in DnD

Let me say I haven’t used it in play yet but I have read through it. Some of the new races are really original and have really interesting features and some are just monster races and both are really well done and all of the races are usable in any setting the new class archetypes are really cool and don’t just play like a slightly different version of the the others. The information on the city and guilds is deep and in depth without being convoluted or overwhelming. The guilds as factions are very well done and could be implemented in other settings as a template or just directly and they would feel just as cool and not out of place. It’s got quite a few magic items which is nice. By far the best part of it is the beastiary while I’m sure many people would want more monsters since magic has so many it gives stat blocks for many monsters but most importantly it gives stat blocks for every guild leader and a few types of guild members which I am very pleased with because it gives more of an opportunity’s to use the guilds in different levels of the game and not have them feel weak. I recommend it to anyone who loves dnd but especially people who have played mtg.

Magic the Gathering for D&D! How can you lose?

I must say I was very impressed by this book, as it finally adds material from their "Magic: The Gathering" card game to D&D. TSR/WotC/Hasbro rarely disappoints me, and this book was no exception. The ability to take my collection of "Magic" cards and use them in an official setting was too great to pass up! THe usual great art and great writing pervades this material. Mostly enjoyable

The only real complaint I have is that the Simic Hybrid racial option is severely limited in the amount of customization options it gives you for its racial adaptation feature. 1 of 3 options for the first few levels then 1 more of 3 more options at a later level.

For how much the Simic are said to experiment and for how good they are supposed to be at it, it just seems really really limited.

They have quite a few little things spread out, like allowing your familiar or companion to have an adaptation and allowing you to create a krasis to help you a bit but honestly I was seriously looking forward to playing a Simic and having a decent pile of 'mutation' options for my character and I was very let down.

Other then that though, it's been a good volume of knowledge for any DM wanting to run a campaign in Ravnica.Lire l'avis complet...

Good value book delivered hassle-free.

Ravnica was the last MtG set I played and the guilds were very compelling. Seeing them come to D&D is a great fit. The book arrived quickly with little damage to the cover/spine. No issues with any of the content/pages.Lire l'avis complet...
