Another great Seuss movie

The Cat in the Hat is another great Seuss Movie made possible by Mike Myers who is incredible

I originally didn't like this movie but after a few viewings it really grew on me. I love this movie now. Mike Myers is great, Alec Baldwin is hilarious, and the two kids are spectacular. The make up, special effects, and story are awesome and this movie is now one of my favorites.

It's very much like The Grinch so if you loved that movie you'll love this one.

Very funny

I remember reading this book as a child and wondering what damage could Thing 1 and Thing 2 really do? Does that clean up machine really work?

In this movie the tale from the book is brought to life. Sally and Conrade go on quite the adventure with the Cat in The Hat. The cat is played by Mike Myers, who couldn't have done a better job. He was just awesome!
Sally and Conrade do learn some valuable lessons in this movie. Sally learns to let loose and have a little fun and Conrade learns that being so spontaneous can cause quite a bit of trouble.

GREAT MOVIE for Children and Adults Alike!!

I know many have seen this already, but honestly, either it never really interested me or else I never had the chance to watch it. It's a 2004 film and the first time I watched it was in Jan 2009. Its a VERY GOOD MOVIE, VERY COLORFUL(LOL), kept my interest from beginning to end, and is quite comical. I enjoyed it very much and would watch it again, as we own it now. Mike Myers played a GREAT PART. I think if anyone else besides someone like Mike Meyers or Jim Carrey were to play the part, I may not have enjoyed it.

GOOD FOR ALL AGES! VERY COLORFUL and ACTION FILLED for the younger ones.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT!!

On a scale of 1 to 10, I give it a 9!

Horrible condition

Yes the movie worked but you can't watch half of it because it continually skips. I'm gonna have to go pay to get it resurfaced. Filled with scratches. Not sure why it was sold in the condition it was in. Works in the beginning and half way through it starts skipping.Lire l'avis complet...

Not appropriate for children

The books are excellent, but when made in to a movie, is totally lacking. Sexual inuendos and teaches children that immorality is acceptable. References to a garden hoe as "You dirty hoe", it's ok baby I still love you" and then pretending to lick it is teaching our children that this is acceptable. (There are numerous other inappropriate scenes)I turned the movie off and explained to my children that this is a sad example of what is acceptable in todays society. It is sad when this is what people want and find funny and then complain about the youth of today. I wonder where they get it from. The cat in the hat

I really wanted the movie to be based off of the cat in the hat comes back or even the first one the cat in the hat. While the movie Horton hears a who is fairly accurate this movie was not so closely copied to the books. My 4 year old who is addicted to the books, found the movie boring, I am better off reading him 10 chapters of any book and he would be much more interested. As far as shipping AAAA plus! Not pleased

Skipped so bad all throughout so we could barely watch it. I was pretty disappointed but at least now I know what “acceptable “ means.

Funny.

I bought this for my 2 year old, who is more like a 3 year old. I thought being a Dr. Seuess movie, it would not be inappropriate. There were no spoken "bad words" but they were mouthed. Now, luckily my daughter cannot read lips yet, but I thought this to be inappropriate for a smaller child. Even one who can read lips and understand the words.

The movie is very funny in true Dr. Seuess fashion. I just feel it would be more appropriate for an older child.Lire l'avis complet...
