Classic Country Appreciation

I bought this as a gift for my dad, who absolutely loves country music and everything that goes along with it. He said that he's really enjoying "Down through the Years" and has even referred to it during our ritual Sunday-night-at-8:00-daughter-and-dad-Hee Haw-watching hour. Even I appreciate the classic country music artists and can still recall with a warm heart listening to Johnny Cash and Tammy Wynette on the car radio during our family road trips as a child (and I'm preferential to Zeppelin!). Great Gift

My great-grandmother had been looking for this book for ages. We could never find it anywhere. Most places online were far more expensive than this. Great book!

Jean Shepard goes into great detail about her start in country music and her career. It was fascinating reading the stories from the road and how she was sponsored for the Grand Ole Opry by Ralston-Purina.

Nice hardcover book

This is a good book for someone that is interested in old country music singers.
Quite a bit of insight about several of them.
Of course this is the way Jean Shepard remembers it.
