The kind of Nashville honky-tonk country music that we can't get enough of any more
Not only was this Carl Butler's first solo album for the Columbia label, it also marked the recording debut of his wife Pearl. Their duet "Don't Let Me Cross Over" was an enormous hit . So much so, that future Columbia albums would be as "Carl and Pearl Butler". Great backup musicians hear here including Jerry Rivers on fiddle and Pete Drake on steel guitar, This a solid country album in the honky-tonk vein. My personal favorite is "Honky Tonkitis", with those rich twin fiddles.Lire l'avis complet...
