Very good lounge-ish semi-electronica rendered tastefully.

I am relatively new to SBoL's style/genre (is it electronica/lounge with a dash of je ne sais qua?). When I lived in Los Angeles, I would take my walkman to the local thrift stores and sift through the thousands of unknown CDs hoping to find something noteworthy. I came upon the self titled first album and went for it in big way. The woman's singing was mesmerizing, sensual and erotic, and her lyrics truly poetic. The music was extremely well produced and delighted my sensibilities. The result, in my opinion, is a duo whose combined talents and energies result in something greater than their sum. So, I of course bought all of their other albums, this one 'Devine Operating System', which is, I think, the middle one (?) being the most recent. They only have three or four albums, but they make up for lack of quantity with quality. But I would recommend the first album if you haven't heard any SBoL yet.Lire l'avis complet...
