A jaw-dropping RPG that is very punishing

Demon Soul is a beautiful action role playing game. The game is filled with many innovations. Your character, for instance, can carry two weapons for each hand. The game allows you to mix and match different equipment types. You can equip two swords at the same time or even two shields. You are also able to switch between 2 sets of equipped weapons at any time. There are also world and character 'tendencies'. Tendency shifts to white if you defeat bosses, or shifts to black if you are killed in your "living body form". The game gets harder if tendency shifts to black. The multi-player element in the game is also innovative. You are able to invade another person's game and hunt him/her down as a phantom. Nice.

Pros:
-Very creative and inspired artistic design
-Beautiful graphics and music
-Easy to get used to and intuitive combat controls
-Excellent level design with many hidden areas and items
-Unforgettable environments and enemies
-Nonlinear level design allows you to visit any worlds at any time

Cons:
-Very punishing, the final boss has the ability to lower your character's level! ouch
-If you have many spells memorized you'll have to cycle through them all to find the one you want
-The save file is copy protected so you won't be able to make a backup copy of it at your PS3 save data utility

My character level is 113 and it took me 77 hours to beat the game, so there is a lot of content here for the dollar. In the end Demon Souls is an awesome RPG that isn't for everyone.Lire l'avis complet...

Great classic game, with intriguing gameplay, and rewarding difficulty

Fast shipping, good communication. And an awesome, well made game, that led to many more great games! Graphics are good for its time, and aged well after 10 years but a bit outdated. Won't effect your gameplay at all though, lots of fun Lire l'avis complet...

This game is a classic!

Just getting back into my collection. Although, I am sad to see the online functionality of this wonderous game being closed down as they are no longer supplying support for this game. Having said that, the challenge is amazing, it is difficult, grueling, and makes for good memories. An amazing game and its self. If you are looking for a real challenge, pick this title up. This got me into the dark souls series

You know I never tried the dark souls series before and my buddy said that this is a game that I should try out first. The beginning was alright and the monsters started to scare the ever living heck out of me. Not only that but the bosses keep getting harder and harder. Warning - Hardcore Gamers Only!

The PS3 game Demon's Souls is an action RPG that really stands out for one reason, it's brutally unforgiving and extremely difficult. I picked the game up thinking it would be just another challenge but it's much more than that. The game play itself is solid and easy enough but the shear goals and mechanics can be downright punishing. The level design is great and the animation is superb, the story is also engrossing and really draws you in. If you're a hardcore RPG nut or someone looking for the ultimate challenge, Demon's Souls should not be missed! You will definitely get frustrated but that's just part of the game; trial and error is the key to success here. I'm not a huge fan of the genre, but this game is awesome! This was a great game and a great deal. I have been wanting to play this game since 2015. I only had a ps4 and that doesn't work unless you have the older ps3.
