Best bang for the buck
These projectors are the best used affordable projectors on the market. Let me define that. Best as in for home theater, brightness, and resolution. This is a SXVGA machine which a machine of this resolution is rarely seen on the market new or used. It provides a 1400 X 1050 native resolution where current affordable projectors are 1200 X 800 or less. This is as close as you will get to true 1080p without the expense of 1080 and I can't tell the difference between the two.
These machines are of the older style appx. 8 years old however seems to have a very low failure rate. Something that can't be said for the new Dells. Most of those develope DMD chip issues. I haven't seen one of these with that issue yet.
These machines are going for less than half the price of a new one with less resolution.
Only draw backs to this unit are that it is a bit larger than a normal machine for home entertainment but not that much bigger. This is due mainly to all the different video connecting options that you have. Normal projectors don't offer as many. Other draw back is that the lamp life could be longer but it's a trade off for the brightness.
Until the true 1080p become affordable, this, even though it's 8 years old this is the top of the line for home entertainment as far as I'm concerned for the Dell machines. I have refurbished many different Dells and by far this one is the best machine out of all of them.Lire l'avis complet...

as for the picture quality, nothing to complain, you will get 1400X1050 crisp and pixels with vivid color and deep dark level.

it will get over heating problem if put in hot rooms, say 85+ degree. make sure the room is air conditioned.
picture through VGA port is poor in color, you have to do some tuning on the computer side to get natural and vivid color. should be perfect on xbox and ps3 with HDMI (or other digital) connections.Lire l'avis complet...
