A must have for all Hard and Heavey Metal Rockers - young and old!

I was introduced to Thin Lizzy at 7 years old and have never looked back. This band opened up a would of music that wasn't played on top 40 AM radio. Not only that, this band, along with Deep Purple paved the way for bands who wanted to be faster, heavier and harder. Metallica, Anthrax, Megadeath, and many more give credit to Thin Lizzy as a major influence in their formative years. Metallica covered Thin Lizzy's Whiskey in a Jar on their Garage Inc. double cd and most everyone knows The Boys Are Back in Town as it haled great radio play. For all who love hard and heavy metal rock, this cd is a must have.Lire l'avis complet...

Much better than I thought

Great value for what was paid for this CD. There are a lot of good songs on this CD and it's too bad the radio stations never played any of this bands songs except the 2 radio hits

The best of Thin Lizzy on one CD

This is a nice collection.I had previously only owned the album,"Jailbreak" by Thin Lizzy,so it was nice to get this which gives a complete overview of their entire career. It's really too bad about frontman Phil Lynott.Like so many other rock stars,he died too young.Who knows what he would be doing if he were alive today.Unfortunately, here in America, not much is known about Thin Lizzy, aside from their hit,"The Boys Are Back in Town."If you like that song,I recommend purchasing this CD and checking out the band's other great songs. You won't be disappointed.Lire l'avis complet...

a copy of an unavailable DVD from BBC

This a burned copy. Not from a manufacturer like say Universal. I only got it bc i could not get an official copy distributed from BBC of Bad Reputation. You have to print your own cover art. Not the best deal for what it is.Lire l'avis complet...

Thin Lizzy -- Dedication

Viewed strictly from a Top 40 perspective, Thin Lizzy — the hard-rocking Irish guitar band that made 14 albums before the 1986 death of singer/bassist Phil Lynott — was a one-hit wonder. Few Americans are likely to remember much beyond ''The Boys Are Back in Town'' and maybe ''Jailbreak,'' a similarly taut dramatic tale from the 1976 LP of the same name. Dedication, a commendable effort to telescope Lizzy's history, collects 18 tracks, but the inadequately annotated 76-minute compilation ignores entire albums, omits crucial songs, and avoids concert material by what was a sensational and well-documented live band. (Check 1978's ''Live and Dangerous,'' available on CD, for the proof.) Ironically, the clarity of digital remastering leaves a lot of the early work sounding woefully underproduced, reinforcing the impression that only the band's commercial successes of the mid-'70s are essential listeningLire l'avis complet...
