Great family game
I purchased this game because I was looking for a game to play at a family gathering. We do not typically play games, as I am the only one in the family who generally has any interest in them. I felt like it would be worth a chance to try, though. Based on the description of the game, I was skeptical - it did not sound particularly interesting to me. I lean towards science fiction or fantasy themes, but no one else in my family does. This seemed to be a pretty universal theme, and given all the positive reviews, I decided to take a chance even though I thought it sounded kind of boring.
The game turned out to be a pretty big hit. To give some perspective, the people playing were 48 (myself), 59 (my brother) and 80 (my mother) years old. It took us some time to get the hang of the rules, but only because none of us had played the game before, not because they were particularly difficult. After playing through it the first time, we began to see where different strategies came in and started changing our play styles a bit. We all had fun playing it and it was a good way to spend time together. The next day my brother commented to me that he really enjoyed the game, too.
I'd recommend this game to pretty much anyone, and based on my experience it might be a good one if you're trying to entice non-gamers into the world of gaming. It's not very difficult to play, but there can definitely be strategy involved as well so don't think it's just a simple/basic game.Lire l'avis complet...

Entertaining and easy once you learn to play it.
We played this game once with friends of ours and I liked it so much I bought one. The object is to try to complete your track from one city to another but to do so you have to collect cards with the color train cars you need. There are a few that are wild that can be used for any color. The one to use up all their train cars and complete the most tracks usually wins the game. Great game for the family!
Great game for the family! We have the junior version and the Europe version as well. The original North America version is easier for kids to play than the Europe version due to the names of cities being in the native language of the cities, but it's still useful for educational purposes. Fun, unpredictable, and quick.
This game is fairly easy to learn - there are not a lot of intricate rules. Every time you play the game it is different based upon the destination cards you get - you aren't trying to hone the perfect strategy game after game. Ticket to Ride
We have played this so much, nearly every day since our purchase in March, that we had to buy another set of cards. It was a little tricky finding where to purchase cards. The destination cards are not quite wore out and not sure they can be replaced. When you spend $40 plus on a game it is nice to buy replacements, rather than investing again. Great Gateway Game into board games.
Pretty much all the positive reviews in detail sum up the game.
Can learn it under 1/2 hour. Can play a game in under 45 minutes depending how quick people are going through their turns. Need some table space for sure tho... and don't bump the table... a lot of pieces that can fly out of place and ruin the layout.

This is a wonderful strategy game. We have been able to adapt it so we can facetime to include others over the web to keep our group included especially through this COVID era. Our friends introduced this game to us last year. I finally bought it and we really enjoy playing. There's only 2 of us in our family so it goes pretty quick.
