DDR the Calories off while having fun!!!!!

Wow all I can say was wow. My first time using DDR and I always thought it was a foolish thing to do but this changed my mind. The dance music and the different styles you have to move your feet and jump. This provided a good sweat for me. I would recommend this to anyone who still has the wii and wants to have a great dance time or even dance party. You can hook up to four of these to one wii and play with friends and family. I should warn you though these dance pads will not work with the WII U.

The bad though. Yes there has to be some bad. I wish they would have put groves or something in there so you know where your feet are touching. I kept moving my feet from the place where I thought they were which kept me looking on the ground.

But all in all the bad doesn't go against the good and these game pads deserve their 4 out of 5. Great Job Konami.

LAUGHS,LAUGHS AND MORE LAUGHS!

If you are thinking of getting this game, do it! When you first try it,it seems hard. In a few minutes you catch on and the fun and exercise begins ! Crank up the volume and it's partytime. Have a water bottle handy and dress light, because this is a real workout. It doesn't feel like exercise, so don't shy away from trying it. Get some friends and family together and dance!I know that even in the summer, we will still be dancing. Also, on rainy days or winter, this will be a blast to pick up your mood! We are hooked and everyone who tries it at our house, bids on one the next day! Remember, it seems difficult at first, but as soon as you realize that the rising arrows and controller symbols must be right inside the marker arrrows on top.....you are cruising through songs in the beginners level. The graphics are exciting and so colorful. The dance venues change, the dancers are great and as you get better the game releases new songs. The song selections are great and if you are not familiar with the song, go for it anyway, it's even funnier ! We bought it on ebay from someone who said it was only used for ten minutes and didn't seem like something they would enjoy ! Wow! I know they didn't give this a chance. The game gives a grade after each song and although it's hard to get a "D" and hear "try again", it's a blast when the A's & B's start to happen and the new songs are the prize. Want a family game that doesn't involve sitting on the couch with a controller in hand, well get up, get this game and get fit. This is going to be fun after a big Thanksgiving dinner, at Birthday parties, bye, bye pin the tail on the donkey ! We are in our late fifties and love the newer music options as much as those that bring back the disco days of our younger years ! A Mother's Day visit from kids and grandkids alike, turned into a barrel of laughs as we all tried to get an "A". Dance Dance Revolution is the first video game we ever purchased and with the "Wii" console a focal point in our living room, we feel like. . . who needs the treadmill? Maybe we'll bid on a disco ball next! We may bid on an extra dance mat,but taking turns on one mat lets you catch your breath and laugh at the person dancing, so we are not in any hurry ! We laugh all the way through it! Believe me you and your family and friends will be hooked too ! It's the best ! If you have teens, this is great as a family activity ! ( one they won't feel is lame or boring!)We like the volume high!!! It really feels like a party when it's cranked up ! If you are thinking of getting this, I hope this helped you. I never wrote a review before, but I felt this was worth it !ENJOY!Lire l'avis complet...

Good Dance Pad

I used the dance pad with The Wii games titled "ultimate perty challenge" and "walk it out." the pad is comfortable, responcive, and folds easily for storage when not in use.

Dance Dance Revolution: Hottest Party (Wii)

I was very excited to own the Wii version of DDR. I have the xbox version already (love IT).. But when I got it and played I was not as happy as I would have liked to have been. The songs are really not that great, and you only get to dance to a min or a little more of the song at a time in one segment. The announcer is very annoying. And when using the Wii controllers it's very hard to hit the notes on time... The GOOD you do have more obstructions. Great exercise. The levels are harder to play. When playing two player you can put obstructions in their way with your wii remote. Over all it is average not something I would buy again if mine broke.Lire l'avis complet...

Good party game

I have played this at different friend's homes. I have always wanted to get it and I finally did. It is actually a Christmas present for my wife.

This game has been a wonderful party idea. We pull this out and everybody can watch and see if they can beat each other. I've played this on the Wii as well as the PS2. The Wii is better because it get more involved than the PS2. You have to use your nunchuck and remote as maracas.

I would highly recommend this to anybody looking for a little spice and flair at a party.

The dance dance revolution has begun

This was my first try at this game, I had seen it in arcades and heard it mentioned many times on television and the like, but attempting to play was quite an experience. I learned on the net, because the manual with the game is not much help, what all the symbols meant, and saw some impressive gameplay videos people posted, but I was like a bumbling fool trying to keep up with the simplest song. And I hear new to the game in the Wii version, is using your hands to keep with the beat.
Don't get me wrong trying is half the fun, and my kids were all about getting the game. This really is fun to try, and it even has an option for a workout, where you are able to set a calorie range, and then try your best to burn some extra weight off. Your children will probably just want to dance, but that is a workout too.
So yes, this revolution has just begun in my home and will probably strike again near you. Try this game and you won't be sad, well unless you have lead feet like me, but your children will love it, and you can be amazed like I was to see how others are like little prodigies of a four step dance revolution.

The Not-Bad DDR

The game was my first owned DDR game, (I have played it at friend's houses) The motion controlling just doesn't add a good touch to the game, since it only involves a flick of the wrist, instead of a dance move. The gimmicks are also a let-down. Although they add a challenge to the game, there is mostly an annoyance and makes me shut it off the instant I turn it off. Other than that, this game will keep you preoccupied of hours and has great songs, (although not the original). I would but this game is you are interested in the FFR experience.Lire l'avis complet...

Fun and challenging game.

Fun game, but doesn't come with much instruction. Took me a few seconds to figure out where to plug the dance pad in. (there's a dock on the side of the Wii I was unaware of) Dance pad can stick to your feet if they are even slightly moist, and it's way too slick to wear socks and try to dance. Could be a very frustrating game for small children because it requires quite a bit of reading to understand how to play. This game is fun and challeging, I recommend it for older kids (for small kids, you will need to be present to help them with the directions and for safety).Lire l'avis complet...

A little hard to get started.

I bought this item for a Christmas present for my step-daughter. She really likes the game. She is 9 year old and has a difficult time right now learning how to use it. It is a hard game I could not even keep up with it. I'm sure in time if we both do not get discouraged we will figure it out.Lire l'avis complet...

Dance Dance Revolution: Hottest Party (Wii)

DDR turned out to be a better game than i had hoped for. It is a great way to have fun. We play it with our 2 teenage daughters, it is great for them to see their parents look silly trying to do it and it is great 'parental entertainment' to see the kids try to keep up with it. I would recommend having no less than two game pads, we have 4. DDR gives us a lot of laughs. Once a month or so we let the kids have a 'wii party' and this game is at the top of the list.

The cable attached to the pad is a good length, when you get 4 pads going at the same time you may need to purchase cable extenders.

I can see how this game would be for every age group. It is not only fun but you can get a real work out with it too!
