"Invasion Earth" / alternate version
I love finally being able to see what has long been a favorite film in a crisp, clean uncut widesceen version. The only downside is.... WHO moved the pre-cedits teaser scene to AFTER the credits? I may get myself a video editing program to create a "corrected" version...
I am, however, not thrilled with the "menu". The music is too loud and annoying. You have to wait several seconds before you can click on any of the options. My TV image size has to be adjusted between movie and menu options to work it, and when going thru the "chapters", somehow, it has a tendency to change LANGUAGE by itself (it did it twice).Lire l'avis complet...

Daleks Invasion Earth 2150 A.D. (2001,DVD
Well, this addition of Dr Who was made in 1966. There was another Dr. Who version produced a year earlier. Both with Peter Cushing as the Doctor.
The were very different character representations by Cushing portraying the doctor. The first Doctor was an absent minded type doctor, and the doctor portrayed in this film was little more put together.
The main reason I bought the dvd was for my study in the Daleks.
They were and always will be the best of the robotic fiends alive, to me.
And I wanted to compare their changes over the years as well as the Cybermen.
The Daleks have always been consistant, as in the movie.
The movie itself was a little slow, and a little campy as most Dr. Who's are. Cushing did his best of course, and as a Dr. Who fan will know, the older Who's were always a little far out there.
The opening music was extremely disappointing. In the previous Who, you could get a minor flavor of the original tv version music. But this one there was no resemblance at all.
It was worth the money, I suppose. And I wanted to see it, so I was satisfied.Lire l'avis complet...
Saw the movie when I was a kid. Loved it then and I loved seeing it again.
Because it is as advertised. The DVD is in great shape, the cost and shipping was what I was looking for. All around, great purchase.

Doctor Who
This was interesting to watch, if you totally disregard everything you know about Doctor Who.
The time line of the doctors life is hard to peg and he suddenly has a niece as well as his granddaughter Susan is oddly younger.Lire l'avis complet...
very good movie
I bought the this Doctor Who because I am a big Doctor Who fan. This movie was the first time you see a flying Dalek ship. Beside this movie is not in the Doctor Who really in the Doctor Who universe,
An Awesome DVD!
A GREAT DVD! Much better movie than the first Peter Cushing Doctor Who Movie. An AWESOME addition to any Doctor Who collection.
