DR Strings Rule!
I am a string junkie, but I always come back to only a few brands. DR is at the top of my list. I love the DDT's for my down-tuned bass, and Hi-Beams for my E standards. The Lo-Riders are also amazing strings. They all just feel and sound so good.
Anyway, the DDT's are by far the best I've found for tuning down. They keep fantastic tension, and I tune down to C# standard. They are extremely consistent. I've used them on Black Metal tours, in the studio, local gigs, etc...

awesome heavy gauge strings
Use them in standard tuning. Don't be a pussy! Great heavy tone and stay in tune well. Drop A tune them and they still sound great.
