Lightweight with ample power.

Very compact with plenty of strength. Has a strong enough light source that I have actually used it for a flash light. There is no hesitation when driving in screws. I particularly like the fact it has variable modes. Impact drivers work so fast that if it only had a variable speed trigger, by the time I react, it is too late or there is always the possibility of accidentally pulling the trigger too tight. Is there an appreciable difference in variable speed triggers and varying modes? Maybe not but there is definitely more peace of mind with the variable speed. Right Tool for the Job

Went with DeWalt because of past durability. Been using a 1/2" drill/driver to run deck screws and the difference is amazing. Light weight, easy to handle, and drives 3-1/2" screws with no effort. Switched to the 2ah battery to reduce weight and still get good run time. Bits easy to change and the tool is compact in size. Good impact.

I purchased this impact because I've recently had access to several used Dewalt batteries and have found many are still good batteries. I'm a very avid fan of Milwaukee tools but since I have a source for the Dewalt batteries I thought that I would get this impact to compair it to my Milwaukee FUEL impact. I've got yo say that I was pleasantly surprised and plan to add it to my regularly used tools. The price was very fair too and it was delivered in just a few days. Well balanced and nice to use

Pros: plenty of power and I like the three speed/torque ranges. It's Dewalt through-and-through. The tool is well balanced and easy to handle. It feels very comfortable in use. Performance-wise, I've had no problems driving hundreds of 2-1/2" and 3" screws into and through whitewood 2x4s. That's my main use.
Cons: nothing worth mentioning. If I lost this driver tomorrow I'd probably replace it with the same model. A Good Economical Impact Driver

Although it is an older model, it is still a brushless 20V tool, takes all the DeWalt 20V batteries, and it is perfect for the homeowner / hobbyist. Being a little older model makes it cheaper to acquire too.

Must have tool

Great tool to add to your tool collection. The impact driver looks small but it packs a big punch. It has plenty of power to tackle any job you might have. Every hoke owner starts of by owning a drill (rightfully so) but as you progress on your do it yourself projects you naturally see how much an impact driver is needed. Powerful

To be so light and small, I can’t believe the power it has. I have only ran some decking screws with it, but had to change the setting on it to keep from going to deep with the screws. DeWalt 887 impact driver

The DeWalt 887 1/4” impact driver is great: 3 speed, 3 LED lights, relatively high torque, light weight, easy one hand bit changes, and it’s a high quality tool. What is not to like?

Buy it!

This replaces a 9 year old 18 volt, well used, driver. The 887 has more power and the 3 speed selector let me use the right amount for the type of fastener being driven. The 20 volt battery selection is another plus.Lire l'avis complet...

Nice Versatility

Mode 2 seems to have about the same speed and torque as my old DCS825 impact driver. Mode 3, of course, ups those features a bit.
