Pleasently surprised
I have ridden Crank Brothers pedals for many years and learned long ago that they are great pedals but just don't last that long. I decided to give this kit a try since it was a small fraction the cost of a new set of pedals. I have refurbished one that was in really bad shape. It now has a few hundred miles on it and it is looking like a success. I did learn a few things along the way while I worked on the pedal. My pedal had no bearings left. The races were there, but that was it. That pedal's platform came off the spindle when I was riding.
It was a little tricky getting the races out. The part they included was made to press out an intact bearing. I had to cock it a little and be very careful when I was doing that. Also, the cap on the end was very difficult to unscrew. I had to remove that part of the pedal and wedge it so it wouldn't turn but I could apply sufficient torque. Fortunately, a drawer on my workbench had the perfect gap to hold it.Lire l'avis complet

Beats a new set of pedals
I love my eggbeaters but have to rebuild them yearly. this does the trick!
