CONVOY Movie Review

A good outlaw/rebel classic from the late 70's based on the infamous trucker anthem by C.W.McCall. This movie has a little bit of everything - comedy,drama & action. When the RUBBER DUCK & his boys get them selfs in a brawl with a hot-headed sheriff named Dirty Lyle, the war is on. Bound to make there way to Mexico no matter the obstacles, the journey turns into a intense mile long CONVOY that plans on leaving the smokies in the dust. Stars Kris Kristofferson, Ali Macgraw, Burt Young & Ernest Borgnine. At the time & for years after, this had one of the most exciting climatic crash scenes in a movie. Convoy is a great title for this movie.

Convoy, is a movie that my Father-In-Law and my Husband would watch together when my husband was younger. This movie brings with it alot of memories for them both and it was for a Christmas Gift for my husband. Which he completely enjoyed. The language is not excellent for children, and there is some referencing to sexuality and some sexual content not suitable for children. But the storyline is excellent.Lire l'avis complet...

Great movie, but this version - not so much.

I love this movie, but this particular version has sound that is not matched to the picture. It's almost a full second off, which makes it annoying to watch.
Disappointed.

A total Citizens Band classic movie.

They really do not make movies like this anymore. It has all the action, CB lingo and foolishness that can go with talking on a CB radio. Sure most of us don't drive like they do in the movie, but it sure looks good on TV! :) I have known people just like some of these characters who say what they mean and mean what they say and those are getting difficult to find anymore with all the restrictions on almost anything you can think of. Classic 70's movie!
So this is for people who like fast trucks, people who may not like each other but learn to get along anyway (sort 0f) and people who know how to take the long way around to make a point loud and clear. And some of the music is well remembered too :) RD, if you read this, you were just as entertaining as the movie back in the day with your CB whistle in Gatorville. i made a bid on e-bay for a dvd that my husband has been searching for; high and low. some one suggested that we we go through e-bay; to find that unattainable dvd. i search and found it, less than five mintues. well, we have yet to received the dvd that we purchased. its been six weeks since the purchased date. sent several e-mails to the receiver of the money. we have been put on hold. USPS has lost the dvd. it will be several days. then, in the next few days. should have received the dvd. to, i will find out why the dvd has not been sent yet. to, again, that the dvd will be sent in a few days. it will be processed in four to twelve days. so, if and when, that, we received the dvd. i will give a good report, on the purchased i have not obtain yet. thank you very much.Lire l'avis complet...

Convoy DVD

For the nostalgia of the times, I bought this DVD. I heard the song a hundred times in the seventies but never saw the movie. Liked seeing the hair styles, attitudes and all the things you forget about that made the 70's great. It was interesting to note that CB radio was bth loved and hated. It does work well, I still use it in the Mountains having a base set up and mobile units. It showed that you can be big on being redneck without being big on being a racist.Lire l'avis complet...

Great movie a must see for any truck enthusiasts.

It be a great movie and tells of the problems for truck drivers from the past. Sorry that truck drivers back in 70's had such a hard time with police. Need more movies telling of past hard time in trucking and what they have done to try and better trucking industry. Lire l'avis complet...

A great movie.

I watched it growing up with my dad. Now he has passed this movie makes me think of him. This movie also lead me into driving a truck. Great trucking movie

Saw it when it first came out. One the best movies of this kind ever made. If you have ever heard of the song by C.W. Mcall of the same name. It was a hit back about 1975. Great actors also!
