The first retro Revival?

Conker's Bad Fur Day came out on the Nintendo 64 and was one of the old great games from Rareware. Conker live & Reloaded is a port of that game to the Xbox. However it is not a remastering nor is it a remake. It seems best to call it a Retro Revival of the game as while it does have updated graphics which we would usually consider it as a remastering, it also has updated gameplay to a certain extent and even updated content into the plot.
This is most notable in the very beginning where Conker, who is known for breaking the fourth wall, states that he knows that this is a port and hope that the developers have been added to many "surprises" for him.
However there are a few things that have not been updated that certainly could have used a more modern touch to it.
The camera is very fiddly and hard to get a hold of, a wider array of enemies could have been added, the levels could have been expanded to hold more secrets with less loading time, better control over the character's movement and commands, and a revamp on the classic music would have spice things up a bit. Finally and most disappointing of all is the fact that they removed the old mini games from the port. Instead, they replace them with a call of duty-like game that is both unimaginative and slightly on unfun to play.
However, all in all, it is a decent port of a Nintendo 64 game to the Xbox. Anyone who loved playing the game on their good old Nintendo 64 will certainly love to see it again. There are few games out there that have Conkers Bad Fur Day's humor.
However we can only hope to see another Conker's Bad Fur Day game sometime soon, if not a proper Retro Revival of it.

Violent Teddies and Squirrels!

This game was definately intended for those over 16 however, my 2 sons ages 12 and 17 have this game and they liked it. But whenever my nephew came over he would play and he loved it!! So I bought it for him. He was just 10. There is some foul language implied, most are bleeped out but you can tell. Not the kind of thing you want a young one exposed to constantly. Its a fighting game. Players defeating the evil teddies with quads and tanks and other vehicles and with guns, rocket launchers, etc... Violent Teddies and Squirrels! But still violence, not an excessive amount of blood and gore but sections of flatulence and feces, drinking and vomitting. But I think thats the reason they like it so much. My older son, an avid gamer, was not as impressed with it as my younger who liked to hear the cute squirrel say bad words and run around in poo-poo. Th older kids are not impressed with potty humor. I don't know if I would recommend it to everyone. I keep my 8 year old daughter away. Buy with Caution!Lire l'avis complet...

Great single player, awsome multiplayer

This is the remake of Conker's Bad Fur Day for the Nintendo 64. It is like Super Mario 64 combined with Call of Duty, Halo, and Oddworld. Basically, it has a quirky single player mode full of toilet humor, jumping. puzzle solving, and shooting. The multiplayer mode is really fun and is also very different from the original's. The only problems are that if you've played Conker's Bad Fur Day the jokes in the single player mode may not be as funny to you, and that the creators also censored some funny curse words. If you like shooting games, platforming games, and humorous games, buy this. Just remember that the humor in this game is not intended for kids under the age of 17.Lire l'avis complet...

WOOAAHHH IT'S THE BAD BOY SQUIRREL~

One of the best-looking Xbox games ever made. Quality voice acting helps keeps the laughs flowing. The multiplayer, when played right, can be alot of fun. A surprising amount of the single-player game has held up over time.

Character-balancing issues and a few control quirks make the multiplayer tough to get a handle on at first. Some of the humor isn't nearly as meaningful as it was five years ago. More multiplayer maps would have been nice.

This was one of my sons favorite games for along time and then it just stopped working one day. After him begging for me to buy him another copy for over 2 years, I decided to surprise him! He is definately a happy little guy! :o)

Fun game, but not for the family

Enjoyable game, a ton of adult humor. Reminds me of what games and TV used to be. Note THIS IS NOT A SHOOTER. The army part is simply advertising for the Xbox live gameplay. This is a platformer, comparable to the early Pyro the Dragon games as far as controls and gameplay goesLire l'avis complet...

Ahh the memories

This brings me down memory lane back to my N64 days as a kid. I realized I should have not been playing this game as a child though! Haha! I absolutely love it. I also turned out fine as an adult FYI.

Excellent game

Conker: Live & Reloaded for Xbox is a remake of the Nintendo 64 adult hit, Conker's Bad Fur Day. I ordered this game for my cousin for Christmas because I thought it would be one of "his" games. By that I mean he loves war games and since Conker does have a war segment I thought it would be the perfect game for him. When he first played it, it started a bit rough because he really isn't use to adventure titles, but with my help he found it to be a great platformer. Even though rated M like it's precedesor, there was some over-zealous censoring with some words bringing down the comedy level especially with the fan-favourite Sloprano song. Improved graphics a strong point to the game, but the blood and gore scenes still look a bit unrealistic as if it were still on the Nintendo 64. At sometimes, the game will crash for no reason which is kind of annoying at times, however, the game will still save itself from the point it crashed. Conker has had a bit of a re-design now spawning a dark blue jacket, green shorts, and no gloves. He keeps all of his signature moves, but his signature frying pan get's replaced with a cooler spiked bat. All in all Conker: Live & Reloaded recieves high fives around the table for being funny, fun, and being backwards capable with the Xbox 360. I would highly recommend this game for any Xbox (360) owner. Frome Conker: Conker Live & Reloaded recieves 9.5/10.Lire l'avis complet...

Great Game! Cool Graphics! Must play it! ;)

Conker: Live & Reloaded is video game developed by Rare and only for Xbox. The single player mode is a remake from the Conker's Bad Fur Day for N64. This one has a new multiplayer different that uses Xbox Live.

Conker: Live & Reloaded was praised by critics for its presentation and graphics. Was named IGN's "Best of E3 2005" in the category of "Best Graphics" for Xbox. However it was criticized for changes to the single player, such as the removal of certain challenges, and the lack of refinement in areas such as facial animation that was perfected on the N64.

Is not recommended for little children it has violence, adult content, bad words, etc although is very funny and has a long mixed up story with references from movies, such as Alien, Terminator, Matrix, A clockwork orange, Saving private Ryan and Reservoir dogs.

A love the game and is a classic. You will love it too I guarantee. ;)

Conker: Live & Unloaded

This game has ups and downs to it. Some of the good things this game has is that the graphics form the 64 verson have greatly improved. The graphics are about as realistic as a cartoon base can get. The gore is greatly improved, and the sounds are... moderatly improved. But every game has it's falts. The game was originaly supposed to be Conker: Live and uncut. This meaning that there would be no word scencoring at all. This was ment to add to the comedy, but it mostly just peed people off makeing them think that Microsft had lost their minds. In conclusion, this game is probely the greatest a remake can ever get, so lets all rejoyce, and continue to have fun with our pottymouthed friends Conker and company.Lire l'avis complet...
