If you don't mind crying at emotional scenes, you won't mind Clannad (There aren't too many scenes to cry over don't worry). If you love high school anime with light atmosphere that quickly changes to a comedy act, please buy this. If you an anime where there are lots of girls (NO harem) where there can finally be one mutual and healthy relationship b/w man and woman, struggle no more. If you want a heart warming anime, this is the anime for you.

Key Label is known to release stories that may tend to have sorrowful or "depressing" elements. However Clannad is a favorite and is very gentle with it's story. There is more than plenty of humor inside and anyone will find this story to be an eye and heart opener.

However, I must say that if one watches this the first time, there will be flashes of a different world, which relates to the story in a much deep and abstract way. Every episode will always have one scene you will never forget.

After the First Season came Clannad the Movie, and finally After Story, the second season. This is a treasure among my treasure anime list.

great writing, great art.

this is one of the first animes I ever watched, and I started out just killing time. Within 3 episodes, I was watching because of the quality of the story. Halfway through, Netflix dropped the series, I had to ask my teenage son where I could watch it. This has to be one of the best written shows available. I highly recommend it, unless of course you don't like shows that make you feel; then it should be avoided. One of my favorites

A story of friendship, love, & miracles. The slow healing of a sorrowed heart.
If you are an anime fan this (and the 2nd dvd set titled “afterstory”) is a must see.

The Idea of Possibility

I bought this for the reason that this anime is not like any other anime I have watched before.

Only watch this if your interested in story plots and not for killing time.

This anime introduce the idea of many possibility and not just one, it has philosophical view and the creator talks to you through his character so you have to pay attention, when he is talking to you, if you watched Angel Beat! Then you'll like this one.

It is slow in the first couple episode due to the reason of it's developing of the story so pay attention to the detail.

heartfelt story with fun characters

someone recommended it to me because they said it was super sad. on the contrary i laughed more than i cried, and it's not nearly as sad as I found Kanon. Clannad afterstory, we'll see.

Apparently a great anime. It was certainly a great Christmas gift. All my friends who watch anime enjoyed this show. This does not include Clannad After Story but definitely worth the price.
