This is a great book with terrific graphics. This book is filled with separate sections on different animals. Each sections gives you a lot of scientific (factual) information on the animal. Then, I love the stories that go with each animal. What ties it all together and why I enjoy these books is the insightful application of Scripture. Not only does the book present scientific facts about the world we live in, but it also presents Scriptural facts and how Scriptural truth can be applied to the world we live in. Best devotional book ever!!

We have read this book to everyone of our children. They loved it so much I have to get them their own sets. Every story we have read we learned something new with the animals and with scripture. My children have done book reports on the animals. The teachers were very impressed with the knowledge my children had on the animals. The books made us dive in the WORD and find out more of the people Character Sketches was writing about. Beautiful illustrations; the books are heavy in weight, but beautifully done.

What a wonderful book

McGraw Hill publishes this book. The first edition -- first printing of this book never made it out of the publishing house. Everyone at the publishing house liked it that much they bought up all the copies. The book had to be printed twice before the first edition could be sold to the public. That is unprecedented in the publishing business. The book is so well illustrated. The artwork alone is worth getting the book. I've never seen such beautifully done work. We are a Home School Family and We loved this Book because of the godly characteristics we can teach our children. Each Section you learn about a different animal and why that animal has that characteristic lets say Loyalty, then it has Bible Study.
