Great family fun
I have teenage boys who purchased this with the intention of playing with their friends, but somehow it got my wife and I's attention. What a great game. I gives opportunity for planning strategy, negotiating with others, decision making, and chance. Since we are trying to prepare our children for real life experiences I try to put smaller things into relational experiences, and this game has given opportunity for brief discussions on investing, diversification, and strategic planning, and it is just plain fun. Our 11 year old also has joined in and easily grasped the concepts to be successful, not just for teens/adults. Money well spent.Lire l'avis complet

Our family’s favorite game for all ages
Our family loves playing this game. Now that we live states apart we each needed a set. My 8 year old loves to play with us too so it’s a great everybody can play type of game. Not “New”
I was disappointed that the box was literally falling apart and only 1 of the 8 corners on the top and bottom was intact; the rest had been faded and ripped from years of use/poor treatment. I would have been fine accepting a used product with a decent box, but even with tape, I cannot keep the box together and I’m concerned we won’t be able to keep the pieces from getting lost. Settlers of Catan 5th edition Tiles
5th edition tiles are lovely, with more detailed designs and variations between tiles of the same resource. They are also thicker than 3rd or 4th edition. I bought them to add to my 4th edition set, but found that the colors don't match and the difference in thickness makes road placement less easy.Lire l'avis complet

Disappointing Copy: A Review of the Catan Board Game
I've played the original Catan game several times and was excited to try out this version. However, I was disappointed to find that it's just a copy, and the quality is not up to par. The board print is sub-optimal, and the overall feel of the game is not as polished as the original. The blocks are decent, but they don't quite measure up to the quality of the original. Some board edges are difficult to join and often disjoin apart when striked gently. Overall, I was a bit let down by this version of the game.Lire l'avis complet

A perfect board game for 3-4 friends
Great quality board and pieces just like i was used to. Would recommend to any fan of the game. And to newcomers, this is a quick to learn board game with endless replayability. A single game can last around 1 hour but can be stretched to longer when youre having a great time!Lire l'avis complet

My favorite game ever
Settlers of Catan is the greatest game ever made, and the Seafarers expansion is the best expansion for it. I play this as often as I can get at least two other people to play with me. My only complaint is how many games you have to end up buying - the original plus Seafarers, but if you want to play with 5-6 people you need the original expansion plus the Seafarers expansion. good for kids
my kids 6 and 9 enjoy the game, I do as well as it is not as militaristic as axis and allies which we used to play. Game times are also reasonable due to the points structure.

Missing a piece (tentative)
So far I have been unable to find the letter C number circle piece (which is one of two 6s). When unpacking the game the first time I looked at the number pieces that one wasn't there. I find it unlikely it fell out anywhere in shipping due to the amount of plastic used. I still don't know what happened.Lire l'avis complet

Good but....
We played this game previously so I knew it would be a great purchase. The only thing that was disappointing was that the quality of the little wooden roads, settlements and cities was extremely poor. Some were misshapen and some were missing, making gameplay difficult.Lire l'avis complet
