Great Watch for the Price!
Rugged watch. A little thicker than what I am accustomed to. Took me some time to get used to it. Sychronizes time very easily. Many people have complained about the numbers being just too hard to read. This watch excels in the bright outside. If light can hit the watch, you can see the numbers.
I have the GW-7900-1 also but this 7900B looks great. I have not set up the tide and the moon phase yet but everything else I have set up works fine. The thick manual is an easy read. All of the functions are well explained and easy to follow. To charge up the battery I attached the watch to the cargo rail on my car for a day and the watch has been on high power since. Best Bang for Buck!
You can not find a better product for $100 odd USD. Its comfortable, stylish and not for the minimalists. It has a presence on your wrist. it packs multiple useful features that any outdoor person would like. I have bought this as my Range watch, when i go shooting or hunting. Tough, feature-filled, stealthy Mulit Band 6 G Shock
While a hefty watch in terms of size, it wears light and is very comfortable. For the cost, this watch offers a lot of features. Tough Solar, Multi Band 6, moon phase, tide chart, world times and all of the usual goodies that come with a G Shock. On top of all of that, it's tough. I don't worry at all about it getting roughed up as that is what it's made for.

Tacticool Watch!
Great watch with usable features that are easy to navigate within a few days. The negative/reverse screen image takes getting used to as you need the correct angle to view with older eyes (54). Typical G-Shock quality
This is not the 1st G-Shock I have purchased. This one, though,takes the cake so far. Comfortable, stylish and has a lot of great features. Looks nice and beefy, accurate, solar is nice. Auto retrieve = iffy.
The watch keeps good time. The moon and tide data is accurate enough for a watch in this price range. Solar battery works great. The reason I rated it four stars instead of five is due to the auto retrieve function. I live in the SE United States, which is supposed to be within the functions range. The only place I can get it to work is outside of my house. So, unless I want to leave it outside all night I have to do a manual retrieve. Oh, also, be forewarned, the screws on the front case are only decorative. They're not even actually screwed into anything. They're held in place by little o-rings. I read reviews where they have actually popped out. That hasn't happened to me, but I wouldn't suggest wearing this watch if you're using a jackhammer.Lire l'avis complet...
A Great Watch with One Concern
I like this watch. It is a typical Casio G-Shock watch, with a black face & white characters (I believe they market it as type of "special forces" type of watch). The characters are a bit hard to read (other reviews mention this & my other Casios with a more "traditional background" were easier to read at a glance), so it takes a bit getting used to...so be aware of this before buying. It is also a bit thicker than the other G-shocks I have owned, but it doesn't bother me. It does not weigh heavily on my wrist. My previous Casio was atomic/solar, and I wanted another one.
It has the typical things you find on a G-Shock: stop watch, timer, phases of the moon, etc.
This one was a newer model & it fit the bill. I also like that it has small "straps" under the main straps to hold the watch in place on your wrist. My other Casios would sometime rotate on my wrist, which would be annoying.

Best looking G-shock IMO
This G-shock is one of the best looking G-shocks available on the market. It is comfortable and relatively lightweight, with awesome features like tough solar power, tide graphs etc.
