Very Nice Video Camera

Its really a very great camera. My first digital video camera. Quality is great and the video is very crisp and clear. I was able to record my daughter's dance recital nicely, even with stage lighting. I was standing behind the last row and was able to get a clear close up of my daughter at the stage. Worked out well. There needs to be enough light of course.

You will need the Corel software in order to view and edit on your computer. It was missing when I bought it, but Canon sent me a cd promptly when I asked for it.

The only thing I am frustrated with is editing and using the clips in emails, or for recording. I think part of it is that the camera produces too big of a file to attach to emails, and I am not sure if my computer burns DVD. I am still new at using digital video and hopefully I will figure out some way to use it easily, even for my Real Estate business.

If you have knowledge of digital editing and how to handle the files, I would recommend this this camera. The 10x zoom seems to be suffiencient for most purposes.Lire l'avis complet...

Fantastic camera

I was very impressed with this camera, and how easy it was to start using right out of the box. The seller was awesome to deal with, answered every email really quickly.
Once you learn how to navigate through the menus, it's very easy to set it according to the shooting environment.
The night mode is freaking awesome, I cannot get over the clarity of the shot in this mode.
I also got several attachments with this camera, a light, a Mic, and all the usb, and a/v cables. The light really improves shooting in dim light, or at
night, now the camera does have a video light built in the camera but it's only good in close up situations. The Mic is really impressive, I can imagine shooting at concerts, the sound would be phenomenal.

The little camera that can!

I own 12 of these units. A few years ago, I set out to capture theatre Productions. I wanted a minimum of 3 cameras. Once I got them, I got 3 more. And 3 more. And... you get the idea.

I usually shoot 6 cameras and simply edit after, as if I was in a mater control room of an expensive studio.

The HD quality and options are awesome. And the front-to-back zoom is far better that those side-to-side once found on other cameras.

5 full hours on Full quality is perfect.

The only drawback? While using the internal hard drive to record (as opposed to the optional memory card) the drive will stop recoding if the ambiant noise it too high (like at a punk rock concret inside a small bar)

Canon Vixia HG10

I am just an average person when it comes to using computers; being 60+ years old it's just not my thing. I use them when I have to in order to get what I want; that's it.

I am building an experimental airplane, and have been video taping it from the start; then posting the project on my You Tube channel www.youtube.com/michaeldavidheit and have gone through two different cameras so far in the process.

I needed a better replacement camera than the one I had so I began a very intense investigation into new camcorders. I am a neophyte when it comes to cameras, and believe me, if I can use this camera right out of the box anyone can.

I knew just enough to turn it on, take some test video, and actually transfer it from the built in hard disk drive to my computer with out even opening the operators manual. I do not recommend one do this as substantial damage could be done to the cameras hard drive, but hey, while waiting for the camera to arrive I downloaded the manual and read it enough to know what not to do. The results are incredible.

From what is termed a "Prosumer" in the market place, which is a marketing term meaning camera owner with a champaign taste on a beer budget, this is the camera for a person seeking an easy to use device that has fantastic video.

Let the gurus & geeks argue about the infnitesimal differences and nuances of certain things about this model of camera; to an average Joe schmuck like me I don't give a dam. The camera is a very useful, intutitively easy to use tool.

Hell I won't use even a fraction of the gizmos & gadgets this thing has; all I need is to put it on a tripod I have, hit the automatic button and film away. This camera will take care of me as long as I remember it knows alot more about filming than I do; so I just let it do its thing.

It just doesn't get much better than that. The enclosed software is interesting as I started with the "Back up" disc; next I installed the supplied Corel software. Be sure to have your camera serial number when you install the Corel disc because that becomes you registration ID format needed to get the activation code. In fact all one needs to install is the Corel software as it will do everything you wnat to do when downloading yoru data from the cameras built in hard drive.

The quality of the video is astounding compared to the former camera this one replaced. It beats the living daylights out of a Sony camrea I once tried ... and at a fraction of the cost. If you are just an average Joe Schmuck [or maybe Josephine schmuck] and want to get the biggest bang for the buck this is the camera for you.

It has a nice added feature of a hand remote control which is nice because the majority of my filming is by myself, and so I can start or stop recording from in front of the camera with out running back & forth like I used to do. I'll soon be posting my newest ina series of ongoing video posts to the You Tube channel so you will get an opportunity to see forst ahnd hte quality of video this camera will make.

I highly reccommend it as a first time high end consumer HD camcorder. If you need something better consider the $3,000.00 to $5,000.00 Canon Professional cameras and just ignore Joe Schmucks advice.

Canon vitiate hg10

I have used this camera for several years and had to get another because someone broke the charger input so it would not charge. The camera needs to be pugged in when downloading into a computer. I still use the original software but Any can be used as long as in downloads in the same format. Most all new software are compatable. The video quality is great and with any good program easily edited. The hard drive holds 40 gb of data and there is a separate mini card for pics which have are very good. Canon HG10 HD Camcorder

I was really impressed with the Canon HG10 HD Camcorder. It has all the features that I was looking for: HD Quality Recording, Improved Imgae Stabilization vs. older Digital Recording, Mini SD slot for pictures, Built in Hard Drive so I don't need to buy MiniDV or CD-R media any longer. Canon HG10

The Canon HG 10 is a 'work horse' for quality HD video capture. It has an internal hard drive of 40GB and a mini SD slot for still pictures. It captures AVCHD format to the hard drive which can be converted to MP4 easily. These AVCHD video files are compatible with editing software like AVS4YOU and NERO. Each of these software packages can import the AVCHD files for editing up to 1080i quality video format.
A lot of newer video camera's have an SD card for video capture, and unless you purchase a very expensive camera, the video can be jerky and not smooth. In addition, it can be grainy and not clear. Because the Canon HG10 has a hard drive, the captured video is extremely smooth and image quality is exceptional. In HD mode the Canon HG10 can capture over 4+ hours of video. You cannot get that with a SD card!
If you want to capture and keep precious moments in your life, make sure you will be happy with the quality of the video you get. It is not the size of the camera that matters, it is quality of the image it keeps. Great for Families

We've had several Canon point & shoot cameras, so picking this up and using it was very simple. Having a new baby in the family, we really wanted a high-quality camcorder to replace our You Tube (cheap) camcorder. This was a great choice because it is an older model, which allowed for a great price, but still handles HD video with image stabilization and great video quality both indoors and out. Good start

I did a lot of research before deciding to purchase. I was mainly looking for a good camera with a microphone input which this camera offered. That was one main feature that was hard to find at a reasonable price. I have had the opportunity to us it with positive results. It takes time to get the hang of roxio.

Video pictures are great almost broadcast quality. the only thing is, get good editing software. I use roxio pro 2011 99 dollars. Get the hang of it and your all set. Also get a 2400 ma batt. the batt they give you will die in a hour.Lire l'avis complet...
