Awesome DSLR sustitute
If you want a real compact quality camera and not one you stuff in your pocket, this is it. Almost APS size sensor makes DSLR images at High ISO also. Great controls that makes you feel like a photog. Got on the used market for $225 which is a steal. Better colour reition than Sony and where do you find a camera of this quality and sensor with a built in 24-120 lens? No where. This is one nifty little camera.
Solid and feels good in the hand.
Image qualtiy is great.
I went ahead and bought the separate viewfinder as well. Glad I did.
I bought it for a second camera.

Excellent compact camera with a large sensor with full manual controls and a hot shoe
This compact camera has full manual control, a hot shoe, an adjustable flip-out LCD screen (not a 360˚ rotating screen) and importantly, a hot shoe and a large 1.5" sensor that you just don't find in most "compact class" cameras, and definitely not in the "point-and-shoot" small cameras. It is very versatile, takes excellent quality photographs. (The slightly newer G1-X Mark III is rather a different camera with different characteristics.) There are several adaptors you can buy for this camera, including an electronic viewfinder, and an adapter to allow use of filters. As a travel camera (such as on business trips or casual outings,) this is an excellent compromise between not being able to take a large DSLR and having to take a crappy little point-and-shoot (which is STILl better than an iPhone) and still be confident that the quality of your images will be pretty good (but not, of course, as good as a full-frame DLSR.) It also takes video, the quality of which is better than an iPhone. It takes external plug in devices via USB and sync cables. The battery life is excellent.Lire l'avis complet...

I bought this camera from a review in Consumer Reports as the best digital camera. No changeable lenses, just a digital camera with good quality photos and digital images. Good camera but Flash won't work
The flash does not work. I paid a lot for a old model camera. I had the same model and liked it's quaility but the flash does not WORK.
