Canon experience has been awesome compared to Olympus.

I purchased Olympus for years, and had a lot of problems, before my Apple Tech told me how Mac friendly Canon is.
Features I like is the: larger LED over the SD1100IS that I have used since '07. My previous Canon has served me well and that is the reason I stick with Canon and it is very MAC friendly. Easy to download and great photos quality. I live in Branson and attend a lot of shows. The photos are not good in a dark theater from a distance.
The downside is, I thought the battery and charger would be interchangeable with the SD1100. Not true. Canono changed the battery just enough where they are not compatible so I ended up buying another charger and spare battery which will come in handy.
Also, I went for 8.0 Megapixels to 12.1 and that makes a difference.
I will know more when I find a manual and learn how to use it.
Happy shooting!

worth the money $110

very clear photo ', the video you could record more then 15 minuets in one shot
you could zoom the the video well it is recording
I like it alot' thank you ebay
I purchased this camera as a replacement to my old Canon . The main reason I chose to replace it was for the IS feature. When I purchased to my old it was on sale and the IS features on cameras were an expensive option on upgraded models. I have to say the feature performs as expected. Obviously it's not going to do much if there is a lot of camera shake, but it does the job for what it's intended to do. Picture quality is excellent. Low light does well despite the reviews I've heard. Manual settings do just as well as auto settings. I like the playback button that lets you review pics rather than having to switch the camera into another mode. When taking multiple shots the lag time between pics is minimal. Videos work well with it but there is that pesky no in and out zoom during a video. Sound quality was surprisingly good with video mode as well. It takes outdoor video well with little wind noise. I was a bit cautious about buying a camera with no viewfinder as my last camera had one, but let's face it, I hardly used it when I had it. Insisting on a camera with a viewfinder also significantly limited my choices for point and shoots. I'm satisfied with no viewfinder and this camera is exactly what I expect in a good point and shoot. I considered the SD1200IS since it was on sale and a little less expensive but I figured for a few extra features, it's worth the extra $50. Battery life is great! Even under moderate to heavy use it lasted all night and part of the next day. I'd suggest always having another battery pack as a backup though as you never know when you might need it. I would recommend this camera to anyone looking for a quality point and shoot. For the price I don't think you can ask for much more in a compact digital camera.Lire l'avis complet...

Canon Powershot SD1300 ISm-Good for novice photographer

Great camera for a beginner. Very easy to use. The auto option allows the camera to do the work for you Ex: If the room is dark the flash will go on automatically. It also has face detection so if you are taking a multi-person portrait it will detect each face with great focus. If you do want to change the settings yourself there are many different options. I recommend this camera to anyone who is looking for an easy to use camera with good quality photographs.Lire l'avis complet...

Easy to use

The design of this camera is near perfect. The spacing of the buttons is adequate for even the biggest fingers. Yet the camera's size is small enough for pants pocket storage. It takes really good pictures with great detail and color with acceptable speed. The auto function is almost as good as the SD1400, which itself is spectacular. However, interior shots with overhead bulb lighting can be come out too yellow on the auto setting, so use the interior setting. That last is my only reservation. I believe that it is being updated 3/2011 by the "Elf 100". It will be the same but with a 3" LCD.Lire l'avis complet...

Canon Sure Shot Elph cameras

I have had several Canon Elph cameras through out the years and I can honestly say--even the very first one is still working great. If it wasn't for the picture technology getting better--you would never have to upgrade these cameras. I take more than 3000 pictures a year for my own enjoyment. I can't say enough good things about this line of cameras--they are ready to use, point and shoot and easy to get the pictures off of them to print or save. No matter if you are an experienced photographer, everyday person or first time user--you can't mess up pictures with this camera.
I still have the Canon Sure Shot Elph models: 250, 450, 1000 and now the 1300. I have only had this one for a week or so--but so far I like it.
IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A GREAT POINT AND SHOOT CAMERA AT A GREAT PRICE-BY A GREAT COMPANY--CHOOSE THE CANON SURE SHOT CAMERAS.

Great camera

I read a lot of reviews about point and shoot cameras that cost under $150.00 And all of the reviews I read were right on. The Canon 1300 IS is a very reliable easy to use point and shoot camera that has basic functions and produces high quality pictures. I saw this camera new for $129.00. I didnt want to spend too much cash for the occasional picture taking so I kept it simple, and I am glad I purchased this camera. I did read in one review the shutter lapse time is a little slow, so you may miss some action shots. I tried this out and found this comment to be accurate. I think it is rated at a half second lapse time. However, its like anything, it's how much you want to spend. I could have spent a hundred more and not have had this feature. Overall, I would purchase this camera again, and I recommend it to people who want an excellent camera for little money.Lire l'avis complet...

Great Little Point and Shoot Camera

I bought this camera for its size and quality. I have given several of the ELPH series cameras as gifts over the years and they have always performed well. If you are looking for a camera that is small but takes big quality photos then look no further. It is a simple easy to use camera that all you have to do is point and shoot. Leave it in the auto mode and let it do all the work. You won't be disappointed.Lire l'avis complet...

Love this camera!

I bought this camera for my boyfriend for Christmas. I did a lot of research before buying, and the Canon Power Shot SD1300 seemed to have a lot of great reviews. Also did price comparison shopping and this seemed to be the best buy because it came with an 8GB memory card, case, small tripod and other extras. Needless to say, my boyfriend loves this camera - and he works in the production industry with professional Canon equipment. He wanted this for his own personal use and now is a picture-taking maniac! Easy to use, great photos. Thank you for a great purchase!Lire l'avis complet...

Great Camera for a great price!

I have owned the powershot 540 for a long time (close to 10 years I think!) and finally retired it to buy this camera. I have no complaints. It is a solid camera for casual photos. It is super light and pretty small in size. Pictures are very clear and the options are intuitive to use.Lire l'avis complet...

DIGITAL CAMERA

NEEDED A SECOND DIGITAL CAMERA. ALWAYS HAVE PURCHASED CANON CAMERAS. CLARITY IS MOST IMPORTANT, AND CANON TO ME HAS THE BEST CLARITY FOR ALL THERE CAMERAS. THE SD1300 I PURCHASED BECAUSE EASE OF USE AND FOR BOTH PICTURES AND MOVIE MODE. MOVIE MODE IS SO EASY ON THIS CAMERA IT IS HARD TO EXPLAIN. SLIDE TO MOVIE MODE, PUSH BUTTON, YOUR SHOOTING A MOVIE WITH SOUND. USER FRIENDLY IS CANONS MIDDLE NAME. THE SMALLER CAMERAS ARE HARDER TO HOLD STILL, BUT LOVE THE SMALL SIZE TO CARRY AROUND. BATTERY LIFE IS MUCH LONGER NOW RATHER THAN THE REGULAR DOUBLE A BATTERIES OF OUR OTHER DIGITAL. CHARGING IS ALSO MUCH FASTER. I WOULD TELL EVERYONE TO BUY CANON IF I COULD.Lire l'avis complet...
