A great classical SLR for a backpacker
You can do better for a camera...you can do worse. Important to me was the built in pop-up flash and photo taking RAW image files. Weight---I'm a backpacker so this being Canons lightest weight EOS was critically important. I happily worked my SL-1 to death (counter rolled over 3 times.) Lightweight camera with easy to use settings
The Canon SL3 is very easy to use and has excellent image quality. It has lots of manual settings so you can adjust to different lighting, which is very important for photography.

Bought it for travel and everday use. I wanted something that I could use when I travel and when I just go to reastaurants or parties. I could put on a 17-55mm f2.8 when I go on travel tours.
