Ideal DSLR for beginner's move from Compact Cameras
Ideal camera for beginners who doesn't want to spend a lot of money on a camera, ideally bought together with kit lens (18/55 mm). Remember once you commit to a brand, your'e going to be stuck with it. Plenty of creative features for beginners to master, unlike your point & shoot cameras. multi level camera whilst being easy to use
I was upgrading from the 400d. The main reason for this is that I wanted a live view facility and the ability to do more with a remote control system. I can not fault this camera, it takes sharp precise pictures large enough for poster printing. if your starting out in digital hotography look no further its gr8
I baught this camera as the bridge camera i have didnt have a hotshoe attachment on it which made using lighting etc v awkward
as a starter camera it doesnt get much better its very easy to shoot and you can very easily get some gr8 results just make sure you read the manual a cpl of times and go online to watch other tutorials on how to get the best out of it

Great camera, just what you would expect from the Canon stable
Good solid DLSR body. Controls well placed and fairly simple to understand. Battery life good. Good range of reasonably priced lenses available. Excellent viewfinder, using multipoint LEDs to show which area is being used for single autofocus. Mixed views on the continuous focus - still getting used to it. 450d a camera for the enthusiast
I've upgraded from the Canon 400d and although similar the 450d is just different enough to make it a better option. The live view is useful and the larger screen is a bonus. The reason I chose the 450d as opposed to other canon models is that I wanted just a camera no video, I have taken jpeg and raw with this camera and editing in photoshop cs5 is easy and rewarding.

After many years with a T90 . it was time to move on
and after talking to friends i made the 450 the model to go for and after only a few try's with it im very pleased that i have.
as this is so much lighter & compact and returns great results so if you are thinking about this model you would have to go a long way to better this at the price you are able to pick them up for i will say that the add on power pack is must have makes handling far better if you are like myself have large hands.Lire l'avis complet...
Brilliant value for my money, does exactly what I want.
Bought this camera because I specifically needed a Digital SLR camera for some astronomy and general photography. I had done my homework so I knew what I wanted.

This is mine first SLR, an it is goof inaf to learn basic things, but for sure it isn't as good, as Canon **D or *D models..
Good was that, i got european plug, but bad is that i had manual in english and hadn't usb wire, but manual i got from Canon website, and i had usb wire..

I own a 60d and this 450d was for a cousin to be introduce to photography, it is a good value for money
